I can't see anything but an easy home win. Derby have won their last three. Preston only have one narrow home victory in their last 6 games. Derby's pitch is (deliberately?) in an awful state which they're used to playing on and suits their game anyway.

Let's hope I'm wrong and the pressure gets to them!

Big away win please - knock the stuffing out of 'resurgent' Derby (ideally make in-roads into their solid GD too)...

And if even one person says 'I'd take a draw to keep Preston in the mix' I would respectfully reply with the fact we already need 6 more points than them to overtake them (even if they don't get another point). To us, Preston are gone - so let them fly.

We really need those below us to drop every point possible.

We want Derby to lose tonight. There really is no other 'good result'.

I'm hoping Preston are fired up after their poor showing against villa at the weekend and are looking to take that out on someone....

Mate there’s so much s**t to disagree with on here already you don’t need to make it up just to argue with it

We know what's going to happen get your money on a Derby 2-0 win. Sadly ,but we've got to start winning ,can we take the smile of our Chris's face .PLEASE

A Preston-supporting friend tells me that Woodman is injured, and the replacement goalie is even worse. Plus they've got a whole bunch of injured players. He'll be at the game tonight, but is expecting nothing but a defeat.

We have to win a couple of games, at least--can't expect others to do our dirty work for us.

I will be a huge huge Preston fan tonight
Come on you Preston
Come on you Preston

I was listening to the Sutton and Savage phone in on Sunday and I’m sure someone said that Preston have 7 players out injured. I don’t think Derby will have an easier 3 points on offer than tonight unfortunately

Sadly and annoyingly an obvious, inevitable, easy win for Derby tonight. PNE have less to play for and will be tired and hungover from their cup adventures.
Nothing is going our way at the moment (in terms of other teams’s results) so all we can do is concentrate on keeping it in our own hands by winning as many points as we can.

I saw that. Definitely on side. I am sure Heckingbottom will take it up later, but that is no good to us

I’m trying not to be pessimistic but Derby have had a nice rest for two and a half weeks and Preston have come off the back of an energy sapping game on Sunday. It could be a struggle for them as the game goes on.

I just watched the last fifteen minutes, but Derby are still rubbish. I thought after both the games against us that there wasn't a technically worse team in the division than them, and it looks like that again tonight.

How exactly did they win three in a row? I guess two thirds of the answer to that is that they played Plymouth and a free-falling Blackburn......but Coventry?

(though looking at the stats of that Coventry game, they won 2-0 despite having 30% possession and being outshot 13-6.....so I guess the answer is that they were just lucky)

Agree that they are the worst side I’ve seen bar QPR, who now seem to be quite decent.
