Good result that, Luton the better team - but not much quality from either side
I challenge people not to take your first sentence in isolation…The sad thing is all results seem to be going for us. If we had have been a bit more ambitious in January and with our approach to recent games, we would already be home and hosed.
Yep - I was one of those convinced it was going to need 50 points to be safe, but as you say the chances of that are definitely reducing.Great result that.
People keep saying things like "That nine point gap to the relegation zone will disappear quickly if we don't get our act together"
Well, we've gotten 3 points in our last five, and played generally crap, and we're no closer to the bottom three than we were in mid-January!
The chances that at least three out of the bottom five get their act together and reach 50 points (or even close to it) is receding with every game.
I think we are due a big result. We are also due a fantastic performance and also a penalty. Without getting ahead of ourselves it is important for next season that we lay more than a glove on one of the bigger teams this season. QPR were awful last season but absolutely rinsed Leeds 4-0 on a Friday night. Would be great if we could do something similar. Not just a win but a totally deserved win v Leeds, Sheffield United or Sunderland.Lets have a win on Saturday Oxford, stop relying on other teams being as bad as if not marginally worse than we have been of late
Interestingly, West Brom have like us not yet been awarded a penalty (in the league) this season. (Swansea the only other.)We are also due a fantastic performance and also a penalty.
From what I can see, Swansea have had one, leaving just us and WBA as the teams not awarded one.Interestingly, West Brom have like us not yet been awarded a penalty (in the league) this season. (Swansea the only other.)
