For next year's L1 promotion places I think that is the best combo. Although Derby are in a financial mess with rumours over the 3rd takeover attempt (according to the commentary), Sheff Wed are in a worse state being unable to pay their players last month.

And whilst Rotherham and Wycombe are stable and will be there or thereabouts, I still think Derby would have been right in the mix (especially if the takeover went through).

Agreed - but it shows that if even a side as utterly utterly awful as Wycombe can finish anything other than rock bottom and just a point or two away away from safety there is nothing to fear when we eventually go up.
