This is absolutely it! 50 points is irrelevant. All we have to do is get one more point, or better goal difference on the same points as two other teams plus Wednesday. I can imagine Portsmouth, WBA, Leicester, and even Blackburn fans going...."bloody hell, I just don't see how we're going to get to 50 points. We're doomed." We just need to get more points than two of those teams, or maybe others will plummet, just in case one or two of these go on a run.

I think people are forgetting we still have to play all our relegation candidates again (except Leicester).

If we win these games, we stop one of these teams getting any points and that’s the only chance we have of staying up. If we lose any of those games then we’re done.
