Portsmouth always had good firepower and they strengthened their defence in January. They’re safe..

Portsmouth can do us a favour of beating other teams down the bottom, for me they were never going down with how they play at home.

As for Leeds on this showing they aren't guaranteed promotion and that is a good thing as it keeps Sunderland and Burnley hungry who have all got games against teams below us.

Yes... you've just lifted my spirits

We are definately in a relegation battle this week will define our season ,4 points i think we will be safe ,1 point and we are in getting sucked in .But let's be honest we were looking down before Des was sacked we've still got a great chance of staying up and let's hope we can grind to safety .COYYs

So if we win on Wednesday does that make it 6 in the battle as we will be on the same amount of points as Pompey ?
On that showing Pompey will beat Plymouth at home on Wednesday night..they will be safe (probably already are after today.

They will have a game in hand on us though

They play Plymouth on Wednesday that is the game in hand. If Pompey win they are safe and probably means Plymouth are nailed on to go down. But if Plymouth win Pompey aren't quite safe yet.

I will be cheering on Pompey in that game though as I would rather see them stay up and if Plymouth lose they would need more than a point per game for the remaining 9 to overtake us on our current points total with their worse goal difference and that's saying we will lose all of our remaining 10 games which would be our worst run in history probably.

I don’t think this result changes anything I always thought Pompey had enough about them especially at home to stay up
The most worrying result of the weekend was the Derby win because that brings them closer to safety and brings Stoke and Cardiff into it along with us.
Could be one of the current bottom 3 will escape( my bet Derby) which means getting 4 points from our next two game is crucial

No games in hand every team has played 36.

I would rather Pompey won 6 nil and Derby lost, it’s those below us you don’t want going on runs.

But they will pick up points, no need to panic to much over individual results.

Yes after Wednesday night every team will have played 37.

Hopefully once we are down to 5 games remaining it will become alot more clearer as to wether we are still in danger.

Remember it's not just what we do it's what the other 6 teams below us do.

I remember last season no one gave us a chance to make the play offs with 10 games to go. Let's hope this time round it doesn't go to the last game. 🤦

Not sure Mousinho is the one that got away at all.. Pompey have been absolute shite for the better part of this season and most of the fanbase were calling for his head until a month or two ago. Their attacking force has saved them, (they’d be firmly rooted in the relegation zone without Murphy) and some pretty good January recruitment. Fair play to them though, they’ve turned it around and Fratton Park has become a really tricky place to play.
