 Championship - 16/03/26 - Pompey v Derby

Which failed deal was closer? The Smodicz from Peterborough deal under KR, or the Mehmeti deal under Manning?
Smodicz went for about 4 million, so I don't think it was ever going to happen.

Just looked at Portsmouth's remaining games and they're brutal. 7 games in April including Norwich, Middlesbrough, Coventry and Stoke away, and us, Leicester and Ipswich at home.

Just about every game there is huge for both sides.
Yep, they and Blackburn have absolutely brutal run-ins. Of course, the next few weeks are silly season and there will be some surprise results, but you still really wouldn't fancy being in their shoes, particularly given how bunched up it all is now. Plus, they've both used both their Sheffield Wednesday vouchers.

This game has had very little quality init it's had some flashes but on a whole it's been abit boring

Phew! I told them not to sit back!

Poor game ,let's get a point Saturday and keep the pressure on the teams above us.

Good result. Makes the weekend not too bad for us overall. The Charlton equaliser stings, but we've still made up a point on Leicester and Pompey. And while the WBA and Blackburn wins are annoying, both were against 10 men. You can see their poor form returning in the next set of matches, when they likely won't get as lucky again.

You can’t grumble with Portsmouth’s work rate ( and the team gave everything for Mousinho) and no game is easy for any opponent going to Fratton Park
but they have no strikers at the moment .Plenty of possession and they load the box but just can’t score.

Derby did not look any great shakes but Agyemang is quick and Matt Clarke heads and kicks everything at the back. They were lucky not to concede as they defended deep and invited pressure in the second half.

The Portsmouth fans seemed very quiet, not a lot of belief from the stands. Losing games will do that of course, but i wonder if they are losing belief they will get out of this.

Just 2 or 3 weeks ago, Portsmouth would have assumed they would cruise to survival.
