It is an odd message for cam bran to post without context. With context i.e now that Bloomfield has gone it’s easy to put 2 and 2 together but then this suggests a rift between bran and Bloomfield which wouldn’t make sense on a professional level for him to post such a thing like RR did with manning. I stil think it’s a new contract though I’m not sure when he signed his last one.

Think he’s got a year, any new contract should come with reduced wages, he’s on crazy money for a player at our level & what he’s now capable of.

It is one of many issues, when it’s astronomical for the level and he doesn’t produce the level required for him to be on that much, plus he’s always good for an injury and is 30 & doesn’t get round the pitch like he used to.

Cam now has 63 goals for Oxford- 1 behind Matt Taylor in 10th position for OUFC goalscorers.
If he stays another 2 to 4 years, it is quite possible that he could catch Joey (6th Oxford goalscorer with 77 goals)

And he scored the rebound for one of the missed ones. Saved by the Crewe keeper, straight back to him. Think it was the very first non-shootout pen he took for us! The four against Gillingham were the first (non-shootout) pens he scored for us, rather remarkably.

Clearly, had he converted, Matty would have received those four penalties away at Gillingham and likely had a good chance of winning the Golden Boot. And we might never have known how confident Cam is, because in the dismal 22/23 season , it would have been someone like Kyle Joseph taking the spot kicks.

I don't think is unreasonable to think that it could take 2 years to score 14 goals ( and longer if we were promoted back to the Championship)?
