What an awful journey they have been on.
Fantastic that there are fans that care enough to put their money down and save the club from extinction. All power to them. Let’s hope they can claw their way back.

"After Bury Football Club Supporters’ Society successfully rallied together to buy Gigg Lane, and the intellectual property, history and memorabilia of Bury Football Club out of administration, The Shakers are finally coming back after their tragic expulsion from the English Football League in 2019.
With the help of generous benefactors, the club is now in safe hands. Using the successful German model of 51:49 ownership, we (the Supporters’ Society) make up the 51% majority while the benefactors, Bury fans themselves, are the 49%."
Maybe its time for the 51:49 model to be mandatory? Reckon the EPL/FL will buy it?

That model is in place in Germany and has produced a one team league, no thanks.

Presumably the club that has the ground will be regarded as the real Bury, there’s not a lot of point having the other one as well.

No the opposite.
Bury AFC are fan owned and get big crowds of the old Bury fans. Believe they played York City in the FA Cup the other day.
The people that own the ground, I have no idea what they have planned. The majority of the members of their association voted for Bury AFC to merge with them.

Remember when Bury were in the football league and got s**t crowds? I can’t see splitting in two helping that.
Doubt they will ever make it back to the Football league unless they get a rich benefactor.

I think it's like if we went bust and you had the fans create a new club v Kassam creating one. Really complex situation which needs resolving for the good of Bury.
