Great news. They tend to beat us but hopefully we won’t meet for a whileBury supporters have bought back their ground and are flying high in their division.
Great news for their fans.
Good luck to them and hope to see their fans back in the league they belong soon
Because they didn't have to deal with Ka$$am?How can they buy their ground for peanuts but we can’t buy ours for at least ten million or more ?
Wonder what the future will be for Bury AFC when the original Bury FC return to the pyramid...
Best of luck with that I sayThe logic is that they should come together but the problem of individual egos have to be overcome.
"After Bury Football Club Supporters’ Society successfully rallied together to buy Gigg Lane, and the intellectual property, history and memorabilia of Bury Football Club out of administration, The Shakers are finally coming back after their tragic expulsion from the English Football League in 2019.
With the help of generous benefactors, the club is now in safe hands. Using the successful German model of 51:49 ownership, we (the Supporters’ Society) make up the 51% majority while the benefactors, Bury fans themselves, are the 49%."
Maybe its time for the 51:49 model to be mandatory? Reckon the EPL/FL will buy it?

Presumably the club that has the ground will be regarded as the real Bury, there’s not a lot of point having the other one as well.Looks like the egos of FC Bury fans have stopped the club of Bury AFC joining with them tonight.
Sad

I think it's like if we went bust and you had the fans create a new club v Kassam creating one. Really complex situation which needs resolving for the good of Bury.Remember when Bury were in the football league and got s**t crowds? I can’t see splitting in two helping that.
Doubt they will ever make it back to the Football league unless they get a rich benefactor.
