Current Player Thread Brodie Spencer

Hello again!

Hopefully the last signing is doing well for you (Helik)!

Brodie is another cracking bit of business for you guys. He is incredibly versatile, played right back, left back, right centre back, wing back, you name it, he’s played there.
I would say his natural position is right back. He looked incredibly good in the championship when we were there at such a young age, been very consistent since in let’s be honest, a s**t team.

I am hoping we got close to 2m, expecting slightly less.

Look after him, ignore the “small team, s**t move” brigade. Yes it shows how far we have fallen, but also how far you have risen.

Really like the idea behind this signing; young, hungry, athletic, versatile and also a good foil for the more experienced Ter Avest and Long.

Plus if he is more defensive minded, then it’ll give either Currie or Leigh the license to get further forward

Huddersfield fan here In peace.

Just wanted to give you a little bit more inside information on Brodie, he was in our academy for a while then we loaned him out to Motherwell and he went from a boy to a man. He did very well in the SPL and even captained them against rangers I believe.

He came back to us in January last year and the difference was night and day. He quickly became one of our best players and once you took helik from us he became even more important. He's a right back by trade but he can use both feet and due to our mismanagement and injuries he spent most of the games for us at CB and LB.

What you will get with Brodie is somebody who has the heart of a lion, he will put his body on the line and isnt afraid to dive into some tough tackles. He will get a few yellow cards that's because he's Passionate with his challenges. He's decent on the ball and has decent pace. He's at an age where you guys can really develop him into a cracking player with the right tools.

Any idea who we will be signing off you in January?

That wasn't my impression but if they have to make themselves available immediately after this Sat and he is still a doubt for this game then that's it isn't it.
 
Also, will be good to see how he does as a RWB – suspect Gary might go to three at the back at some point
 
Torn whether to watch Sparky vs Belgium or Brodie vs Germany. Have gone with Spencer as that game interested me more, and I’m looking forward to see him at RWB against top class opposition!

Hope he has a game, but more importantly comes back unscathed! Suspect he’ll be worked extremely hard tonight…
