The forum would encourage all members to consider joining OxVox during this important moment in our history. See here for more information.
Whether you’re in the know or not it’s been pretty obvious his intentions since February, when he first started taking the club for fools.
Bloomfield announces that he’s back in full training and should be available for the Middlesbrough game. That game passes and we’re told days later that BDK has decided to have the Op now, despite the club (and medical experts) believing it could be managed. Conveniently in time for him to be fit and ready for pre season and any potential move. BDK reveals he started talking to Bristol City 2 months ago. He’s been lining this up for 7 months, didn’t care whether Oxford stayed up or went down. In that time we’ve paid him in excess of £250k, plus the extra expense of employing him, rehab, etc. In return he’s given us nothing back.
I’m really not interested in those on a quest to defend him, it’s comical how wrong people who claim to know it all have got it. He checked out half way through last season.
Absolute statements will always make you look silly.it's as simple as that, there can be no conditions on which you play, none at all.
I see what you did thereAbsolute statements will always make you look silly.
Totally vomit Inducing, an absolute scummy little rat, wish him nothing but the worst.
So how does this gazumping work, given it's a loan deal? A higher price for the buy option?
I hope to god that we ain't paying a penny towards his wages! So how does this gazumping work, given it's a loan deal? A higher price for the buy option?
Greater loan fee, presumably.
Unlike the loaning of say, an Owen Dale (where we'd be looking for someone, anyone, to make a contribution to wages) - in the case of an expensive first team starter then surely all interested parties were willing to cover 100% of wages and pay a significant fee on top (in lieu of a transfer fee, at this point).
Getting BDK's wages gone, plus a healthy loan fee (i.e. equivalent of a modest transfer fee) is the only way that this whole sorry scenario is palatable from an OUFC perspective.
If there were multiple clubs after him, and a bit of a battle, that makes it easier to secure that substantial fee...
I’m sure I read somewhere that the deal swung to Bristol due to the Option to Purchase side of it.So how does this gazumping work, given it's a loan deal? A higher price for the buy option?
Personally, I find this 'I was right, you were wrong, think twice before you cross me again' attitude from a number of posters, to be one of the most unedifying elements of this whole episode, if not the entire forum in recent times...(Along with those attempting to justify the level of abuse some Oxford fans hurl at their own staff and players because they 'should expect it' and should be impervious anyway because they earn more money than most)An appalling fraud of a footballer, and man.
Wonder how those who routinely and continually defended him on here feel now?
I'd like to think they'd be some self-reflection - but I suspect it'll be 'pretend it didn't happen and then onto the next sanctimonious defence of the indefensible and accompanying gaslighting'.
