National News Boris Johnson - Ousted Former PM

It would appear that the Conservative Home website has been taken over by QAnon over the Christmas period, such is the level of conspiracy theory they are now accepting as fact :ROFLMAO:

Have you seen the "email evidence"..... doesn`t stand much scrutiny.
It also appears that a chap at ITN is married to a chap in the cabinet office so has all the tools to knock something up.
That could explain why nothing "sticks".

If anyone thinks that an establishment like Downing Street or the HoC can function for the benefit of the nation "within the rules" then they are somewhat nieve.

And lets not mention AR being out canvassing in groups at the same time........... or the invisible KS at his office party....
Which bit doesn’t stand scrutiny?

Working is essential. P**s ups aren’t. If P**s ups with colleagues were ok, why weren’t anyone else allowed to have them?

Downing Street is not a conventional home or office as we would perceive it.
That's, where the problems start as its uniqueness, leaves it open to a level of interpretation.

I will also take a guess that plenty of people were "out" socialising with neighbours on the 8th May 2021 - VE Day which was around the same time.
Our road was decorated and loads of folk were out & about having drinks & tea.

Lets just brush that aside though....

Difference is VE day revellers didn't set the rules. So by your definition all rule setters do not have to follow the rules they create.. That is a very dangerous precedence. I'm sure your rhetoric would be very different if we had a different party in power.
This is far bigger than a party political issue, it is damaging for democracy and the rule of law.

I'm not really sure why you're bothering. I think it's pretty clear Essex is trolling and he knows it.

I mean nobody can seriously believe the bullshit coming out of Number 10 anymore....can they :ROFLMAO: 🤡

As with many cases, the law/rules get broken by everyone either intentionally or otherwise.
The point is what are the consequences of a particular breach?

So a Civil servant sends an invite to 100 folk for a BYOB gathering - 70% think "Thats not right is it?" and some question the idea.
30% think "Its in the garden outside the office after work, I`ll pop in".
The person who lives there wonders what all the folk are doing in the garden.

Then somebody "sits on it" and other news for a year and drip feeds the froth machine.................... 🤷‍♀️

For comparison, I generally drive within the speed limit however lots of people don`t and some of those get caught. It doesn`t rupture the fabric of society though.

You keep ignoring the key point. Law makers cannot ignore laws they create. Everything else is giving non appropriate examples why we should ignore it. Which other law makers have simply ignored the laws they set.
Personally I hope they delay for months because every day Pinocchio stays damages the Tory party for potentially a generation.

If a police officer speeds through my village for no reason other than “they are the police” and consider themselves “above the law“, I would not be at all happy.

It‘s about setting an example.

Here‘s a scenario.

You know a local police officer who is always speeding through your village, then one day you get pulled over because you were not concentrating and ended up doing 36 mph in a 30. Low and behold the officer with the speed gun is the very same person who is always speeding through your village.

How do you feel?

Like a mug for believing the Police were there to protect and serve us in the first place

So many people suffered so much, losing loved ones and friends and you give these trite examples of why we should ignore it. It is almost as morally bankrupt as Pinocchio himself.

I agree. At that time we were told we must social distance and so all the neighbours sat distanced having a drink on our local green. No different to what happened at no.10 a garden.

Whatever happened in Downing Street would not have saved them.
Whatever happened in Downing Street would not have stopped the pain.

We all (mostly) did the right thing.
Not everyone did.
That's what it boils down to.
So 70 of the 100 invited did the right thing and 30 did not.

In due course those 30 will (possibly) face the consequences of their actions - same as us.

You're trying too hard now.

This from the person who anonymously reported neighbours for having a couple of people round 😂
