Hardly, around 12k this year so far according to the Daily Mail. Far bigger pressures on infrastructure and housing (2nd homes, the wrong stock of housing being built, an ageing population etc etc) that several 10s of 000s won't even register.

Don’t think Farage was costing up to the Tories that much nor visa Versa but if Farage fielded all those Candidates to derail the anti Brexit mob well it goes to show that maybe people who might have voted Labour or Libdem were also for Brexit and didn’t want to lose out on Brexit.

And yet when someone and I agree suggested reopening former military barracks to house immigrants ( not refugees from the Ukraine ) suddenly outcome all the pc brigade saying it was dehumanising……… screw that lot I and thousands of others over the decades stayed in barracks and they were clean and hygienic, at least then they could set up proper immigration checks medical help and even feeding them.
At least that’s a start and if there aren’t enough homes then they can stay there until there are. But what if someone has a 2nd home, wrong stock being built look and Layla Moran totally against 4.400 holes being built and no doubt Ian Middleton as well.

And again on your last point, tactical voting with Labour making little to no effort in Tiv/Honiton and likewise the Lib Dems in Wakefield.
I don't think former barracks have had any maintenance or not much hence they aren't really suitable. But some may be alright.
You complain about a small number of asylum seekers but shrug shoulders at what is causing real problems for infrastructure/housing in this country. Really? There are places in the Lake District that have pretty much lost community facilities because of 2nd homes which you are just dismissing.

Ok as I’ve said on a couple of previous occasions on this thread military personal could go in and do you these barracks in preparation to welcome these immigrants.
So what if someone has a 2nd house? Why shouldn’t they have one? If someone chooses to purchase a 2nd or 3rd property as an investment then why shouldn’t they?
If social and low cost housing os built then all the better then that would go some way to solving the housing shortage. But it doesn’t help when your local authority ie Oxford City Council agree prices which are well extortionate with the developers ie Barton Park price for a one bed apartment £299 k and 599k for a 3 bed house then you wonder why people struggle to get housing.

So not like when you bought the DUP vote?
Or when you had a pact with the Brexit Party/UKIP to not stand in each others way?
Or when you entered into a coalition with the Lib Dems?

Just shows voters are focusing their attention on removing Boris or his party from power, no longer voting for somebody but voting against the current government. That is not a good place to be is the message from CCHQ. The moral wing of the Tory party is starting to turn, they know they will get decimated at the next election. The morally bankrupt stance of the PM and the Tory Party tacit acceptance is making themselves unelectable in its moral heartland exacerbated in the current financial climate that is ingrained for the next 2 years.Back on track............... If she could get away with legislating against it, no doubt she would - a proper Bojo sycophant!
You brought up housing and infrastructure and the chance of the system collapsing. One of the major problems in a number of areas is 2nd homes and far more so than 10/20/30,000 Asylum Seekers, whose numbers won't break the system. That would be why as it is breaking up local communities and turning some places into ghost towns/villages for significant periods of the year. As those places lose schools, shops, pubs and community meeting places. I'm not talking about buy to let where somebody still lives there year round but actual 2nd homes.
