National News Boris Johnson - Ousted Former PM

The berk has pulled out (first time for everything).

And he continues to lie. He never had 100 supporters to back him as he’s too self-serving and narcissistic to not run with that level or support.

The UK has dodged a bullet - for now.
He either didnt think he could get 100 votes or had no realistic basis to form a sensible cabinet.
The idiotic Tory membership would have voted Boris in.
He upset so many in his former cabinet that I suspect he knew he couldn't govern with the dregs of talentless MP's who supported him.

He didn’t ever have the numbers. He couldn’t have formed a decent cabinet. Neither Mordaunt or Sunak wanted to deal with him. He’s withdrawn because that’s what’s best for him. His strategy was clearly to test the water in a situation where he had little choice but to do so and he’s done that. The absolute last thing Boris would have wanted was to have to try and sort out the clusterfuck that Truss has caused. No, he’d much rather wait until some other mug has cleaned up the mess, imposed crippling cuts to public services and been booted out of office in 2024, or before. Then when the seas have calmed and there’s less unpopular decisions to be taken he’ll be ready.

Oh come on. Mad Nad as Chancellor and the haunted pencil as home secretary, what's wrong with that? ;-)
