What’s the story, how have they been causing us problems at the moment?
Don’t all clubs behave in a predatory manner as it’s just part of football?

I am not sure that all clubs behave like Blackpool?
For 2 windows they know the buy out clause.
It seems pretty simple- they offer the buy out clause ( which if anything undervalues CB) and they can talk to him
All of these offers in the press and valuing Thorniley at what alleged £250k+ is taking the mick.
If I was CB, I wouldn't be interested as it seems that Blackpool totally undervalue him.

I would have thought in Blackpool they prefer to eat donkeys rather than cow donkey must be prime meat up there

I think that if is pretty clear that Oxford don't act in that way.
Where have we publically tried to unsettle a player?

It was only a comment in jest.

I’d hope we don’t unsettle players, but in truth I hope we are tough in negotiations to be honest. With players, agents and other clubs, as necessary.

I've never tried it.
To those who have, how does Blackpool Beef compare to Aberdeen Angus; pound for pound?
Blackpool beef is cheap, drawn out and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

Are they scouting Ollie.. haven't seen him in a while..?

Hello. I think some of this thread at least is well over the top. The idea that our club has not changed since the Oystons is absolutely ridiculous, for example. And offensive. The donkey spice stuff is offensive. And childish.

Blackpool don't have to offer the buy out clause amount. And you don't have to accept their offers. They know that. We've had exactly the same thing this window with Forest after Josh Bowler. Offered a paltry amount, 100k was mentioned. But we don't know for sure do we? We go off rumours and get all worked up. We haven't resorted to insulting Forest on our forum, other than expressing shock at the rumoured offers. Our new owner is a really good guy, and Critchley is as nice a bloke as you will find in football.

As far as Thorniley goes, Critchley would not mess any of his players about, it's not what he is about at all. We have three left backs who are all out injured for a good while. We have a shortage of left sided central defenders too, one out injured and another about to leave. It also seems that on the one hand you think he's not worth much and on the other get angry that you can't have him.

I suspect that the Brannagan stuff is more likely to be getting leaked by his agent than Blackpool, cos our deals are all kept under wraps usually. And Robinson seems to like playing to the gallery and stoking up resentment? Critchley has not said a word in public. Far more diplomatic and self controlled than Robinson.

I understand that you don't want to lose him, same things happen to us. But I don't think you are all seeing this quite straight. Making assumptions that Blackpool FC is something to despise, when the evidence of the last couple of years suggests very much that it is a well run club that looks after people and handles relationships very well. The change has been fantastic.

Cheers. I hope you make it up this season, with or without Brannagan. I hope you keep him tbh, like I hope we keep Bowler. And I expect we will.

You're not going to win many friends on here if you're going to show off like that.

OK. 'Donkey lashers' is quite funny, you have to admit. Probably about as accurate as Barnsley fans making out we're rowing the whole time.

You've got three left backs?? So that's where they all are.

I’ve got no axe to grind with them. They couldn’t meet Cam’s clause, so it was a no deal. Quite simple really!

Some of the Blackpool fans need to look hard at themselves, before coming here trying to wind opposing fans up. Very immature.
There's immaturity on both sides, of course. Plenty on this thread alone. No excuse either way!

He plays Left Back? You know, if it is discovered that Thorniley is actually a decent Left Back in disguise, then I'll be pretty unhappy. Just imagine, a few games at Left Back to get himself acclimatised, we could then have tried him out as a winger to cover if we had our other 10 wingers out for some reason. KR has missed a trick.

Bit facetious! What is it on here?!

No. He can cover at LB though. I suspect he'll be on the bench as cover for left side of defence.

If you saw the balance of our squad, you'd know 🤣 We have 4 defenders (1LB, 1RB, 2 CB's), 5 or so in Midfield, 3 strikers, and about 20 wingers. KR just can't sign enough of them...
