In a democracy what follows if there is a revolution ?
DangerousThat is chilling.

When said in direct response to 'Black Lives Matter', like you're fixing the original phrase, I'd say yeah. The statement is correct, the intent behind it (to undermine the voice of others) is unhelpful.Civil War.
A dangerous & divisive road to follow. However if you say "all lives matter" you are "part of the problem".......
Any thoughts about death threats being made to sports stars for not taking the knee. Mine are that until colour is removed from this whole discussion it won’t stop (it completely divides people in several ways). Life is about respect for people and their property. History can not be removed or replaced and needs to be learned from across the globe.
I've been trying to process this post in my head for over 12 hours now.
Primarily, I would say that of course sports stars should not feel obliged to take the knee, or be hounded for it if they do not. Most of those who opted against doing so have come out with statements committing themselves to the fight against racism anyway.
You'd like colour to be removed from this conversation. The conversation about perceived racism and colour-based prejudice.
Life is about respect for people. And a section of the general population feel like they aren't respected due a genetic feature of themselves that they cannot - nor would ever want to - change.
They would also like to get to a stage where colour is not a part of the conversation. You say that history needs to be learned, but want to remove an integral part of their history from the conversation, by removing colour from the conversation, you deny a teaching of the history of subjugation and then discrimination they experienced for centuries, and how it feeds into the state of play in modern times.
It does completely divide people in several ways. The fix is not to get people to back down and not have the conversation. The fix is to have the conversation now, in one big go, so that this can be one large opportunity to teach, to understand, to accept, and to look at how to move forward.
No, you're not part of the 'problem', you just choose not to see the issue being addressed. Of course, all lives matter, that goes without saying - BLM sought and seeks to say that isn't the case for many people of BAME origin. Hopefully we're not returning to some of the nasty racially oriented comments you've posted previously.Civil War.

Looking forward to police regularly stopping elected representative Essex Yellows "because his number plate is similar to a vehicle registered in Yorkshire" the day after he criticises the Metropolitian Police.
Also to Essex Yellows regularly receiving death threats, and physical threats to their staff, and being accused of being racist for speaking out on the issue.

That wasn't particularly on my mind - you had some valid points informed by your proximity to Leicester and your profession. Typically, it was more your Trumpian dismissal of the trouble at the BLM march as both sides being 'as bad as each other' or another comment regarding Nelson Mandela, or the staunch defence of the symbols of slavery as being our history and that's that. There you go again, leaping into the "closet racist" bin.
If I state something factual such as Covid being prevalent amongst the Asian community in the City and the reasons for it that is not "racist".
It is stating a reality and the reasons for it. The problem is compounded because Councils & Healthcare people are scared to say it how it is, because of the fear of the "racist" finger being pointed, just like you have, so the community carries on and people die.
I have no issues with race, gender, sexuality etc etc or legal migration and people that wish to integrate into the society they want to part of for a better life.
I do have an issue when the "rights" of minorities are deemed to out-weigh the majority of society.
As I said all lives matter........... dividing the conversation based on skin colour is.......ermm.......... racist.

Can you not see any validity whatsoever in the arguments of the BLM movement? Do you believe 100% that it's incorrect and ignorant of them to be making the arguments they're making? Every single one?
If someone points out that black people are disproportionately stopped by the police then that’s also stating a fact.
Why do you put the word “rights“ in quotation marks when speaks of minorities? Are you suggesting that minorities don’t have rights, or shouldn’t have rights?
Why do you claim that the rights of any citizen “out-weighs” the majority of society? What do you mean? Please give examples.
