A whole hour of build up on Sky Sports, most L1/L2 games get 20/30 minutes at best. Constant cutting to the people in the crowd meaning you miss parts of the game, interviews with the chairmen before the match (when else does that ever happen?). Birmingham’s first sell out in years, despite being in the Prem and Europa League this generation.

What both clubs are doing is so grim and you can hate them as much as you like, but remember the media lapping it up will always be the biggest evil.

I'd love to see both of them fail to go up this season. I've never bought into the Wrexham love affair. Spending 10 times more than every other club in your league has got them back to back promotions but Stockport have virtually matched them on a fraction of their budget without any recognition.

Birmingham are doing what Ipswich did by looking to build a competitive Championship squad under more lenient League One FFP rules but have taken the p**s. £10m+ for a League One player is obscene, as are the 6 other deals this summer estimated at £1m or more.

I hope that Huddersfield, Barnsley or Charlton go up, and I know they've had a shocker of a start, but I'd also rather see Bolton up there over these two.

Good luck to Wrexham. PP has bought wisely and to Stockport run on limited resources. Never liked Birmingham.
Charlton to go up too

Don't understand why the birmingham situation bothers people. Birmingham is a massive club with huge potential. The potential of the club merits the big investment. They could easily get pu

The principle of sport is that whilst there will always be some who have greater resources than others, it's generally a reasonably level playing field. When one club in League One spends £1m or more on 7 players, including over £10m on a single player, then it's not sport anymore.

Birmingham have been nothing more than a mid table Championship side for the last 15 years, and have only been in the top half of the Premier League/First Division 6 times in the last 50 years.

They're barely top 30, and we aspire to be the same or better, without buying success.

We’re spending a lot as well, so wouldn’t get too pious.

Like it or not, there’s going to be a lot of interest in Birmingham v Wrexham and thought it was a decent watch. Good punch up at the end.

We’d hammer both sides though, thought the biggest difference from the championship was the players’ level of fitness and the lack of angles offered to passers.

McLean is a piece of work.

I don’t get the media love affair for them both the way the media go on you’d think these are two of the top teams in England when really they are two league one teams. Wrexham have spent more than anybody else in their leagues to get where they are they are not there on merit they are there by out spending other teams . Birmingham are in league one because their owners fucked up and thought appointment a name over a manager that was doing a good job was wise and now they are trying to buy their way to succes

I can’t stand either of them success for me would be they both failed

Who cares about Wrexham & Birmingham??
They've been nothing special really, historically. Their bubbles will burst one day.
Could be for a multitude of reason's.
Take a look at Chelsea & Man United for example... I hope Liverpool go the same way now Klopps gone.. That's Modern football I'm afraid, we ain't getting the good old days back.
Before greed took over...

An utter circus.

Americans and football shouldn't mix. Hopefully there isn't an American hedge fund eyeing us up now we're in the championship

The second you involve American hedge funds in football ownership with their brutal brand of capitalism, it's not sport anymore.

Unfortunately, because of the slow, inevitable direction of travel in the game, too many people now see this as the norm.

Only a matter of time until we start seeing removal of season ticket holders in favour of hospitality experience packages, dynamic pricing, etc etc.

American involvement only accelerates the process.

Agreed, my new least two favourite clubs!

I couldn't stand watching the one man vanity project that was Made in Wrexham. The whole thing makes my skin crawl.

What Brady et al are now doing with Brum blows that out of the water.

Dislike Wrexham.
It's painted as a fairytale minnow taking on the big boys. They just happened to pick the minnow with by far the biggest average attendance outside of the EFL.

Not sure about top 10. Agree with the potential. They are a massive club.
