Trying to think off the top of my head, but that’s Romeny, Prelic and Davies (possibly more?) that have required pre-seasons after joining us, since Jan 2025.

I appreciate we seemingly have to cut our cloth accordingly, but it would be great to have more BDK and Spencer types that can actually play from day one.

BDK didn’t play until the 4th game…
 
I’m sure it’s better waiting a short while to have him at his best. Goodwin was probably rushed into action which caused far more problems later both for him and the club
 
We've either got a Monday to Friday green illuminated pharmacy sign hanging outside the training ground/k*ssam or OCC have the A&E signs pointing the wrong way on the ring roads approaching our fair city?

Unbelievably, anyone who's carrying any sort of knock seems to be rail road-ed into ending up here in Oxford.

I'm sure that when any left overs are handed out Oxford is that green light place to go to!

It started with Robinson and has continued it seems at apace once again.

Why can't we ever sign a geezer who just effortlessly slots straight in.

It's reminds me of 'knock knock who's there'.....its I with the two wooden legs! C'mon in and I'll get you a pen.

Joking apart I wish best Ben Davis the best of luck with OUFC.

He's played numerous games for both Preston (136) and Rangers (36).
Compared to Jamie Cumming who until he signed for us had never played for his parent club.

In fairness, a fair few posters have spent the summer effectively saying that August doesn't really matter and there is no rush to plug any gaps.

Defeat against Coventry and they'll have exactly what they were apparently so comfortable with - a written-off August.

They weren't anxious of the prospect in July, so there's no reason why it would make them anxious now.

Just have to hope that they are spot on with regards to us pulling out our best recruitment on (or close to) deadline day and that we see a monumental improvement from September onwards...
 
This is quite poor it’s evident that we needed a LCB and we get one but wait a minute won’t be ready until after the international break, Prelic oh wait a minute not ready until after the international break. Other players have joined their new clubs and are ready the following week, what does Ed do sign someone for the future?

Where does it say he is carrying an injury? It says the club are managing him carefully to get him up to speed so he doesn't get injured, it's the same as what the club are doing with Prelec too.

So now we only want players who play games for a parent club and loan games don't count?
