So, there I was, queuing outside Lill's bakery shop in Faringdon (she of the famous Lardy Cake) Woman in front of me greeted the woman behind me. "morning love, did you go to the game?" - "Yes, we stayed overnight but it was pretty poor" - "You should see our lot, bloody awful, terrible"
I was intrigued and, after a little while it became clear. The woman in front - Swindon season ticket holder, one behind, Luton season ticket holder!
Just could not help myself. "You should get yourself to Oxford, see some good football!" They were gracious enough to not disagree, in fact, the poor Swindon woman was quite scathing about the town - players, manager, owner the whole lot! Luton lady excused herself and said she had to get to the library!
Meanwhile, I stood happily smiling. Life, as an OUFC supporter, is so good at the moment!
