That was a hell of a series, and a hell of a performance by India.
Bowled out for 36 to lose the first Test. Lose your captain and best batsman and your entire attack (and at least a couple of your most experienced backups)....and then come back to chase down 329 at a ground where the Aussies hadn't lost in almost a quarter century to win the series 2-1? Damn!
I'm biased, obviously, but I would still have it a smidge below the 2005 Ashes in terms of greatest Test series this century (because that was a better Australian team and had even more knife-edge finishes) but it's close.
Beating this team in India is, errrrr, going to be a challenge!
That said, it's really not that surprising that India have a lot of depth. There are almost 1.4 billion of them, and I would say of the Indians I've met, at least 90% were cricket-obsessed!!
