General Atmosphere

They'd be the perfect candidates and I'm sure they'd be up for it!

The guitarist was wearing a United shirt and there were sporadic cries of 'Yellows!' from the back of the room.
Was it a United shirt? But yes, lots of yellows in the crowd. Was just a shame they didn't get Sam from Beaker up to do this old number:

Beaker were particularly good, including decent new material - would happily pay to see them again soon

Thought the atmosphere yesterday was one of the best this season, love it or hate it that drum actually works in keeping everyone in rhythm.

Agree, it's getting better week on week. Keep it up lads!

Interesting, a couple of us in 19 were getting a little frustrated at how difficult it was to get the atmosphere going yesterday so it's good to know it sounded better than from where we were.

I think the main problem is most of us don't know the words to every song so those songs dwindle out easily. Maybe bring back songs like "oh when the u's go steaming in" that is quite easy to learn and also easy to keep repeating.

Anyone remember the words to the “Que sera sera” chant from the manor ?

Sad to see Joe is stepping back from Yellow Army organising. He's been a catalyst to some great things happening since since that Bolton away defeat almost a year ago now, and should be proud of everything he's achieved for the club, the fans, and the players. Hope the rest of the lads keep the momentum going and that everyone around them is supportive of all their efforts, even if they don't always get it right.

One more time, just for Joe.

Got some feedback for what its worth. There are plenty of tried and tested rhythms for chants mostly from 80s&90s granted but they work for a reason. Fair play to you lads coming up with songs you enjoy singing together thats great. But you cant deviate from certain simple patterns too far and wonder why it doesnt catch on. Boy does Harris need some encouragement for example but your trying to be too clever with his there she was walking down street to the left to the right I dunno the rest up and down all night nonsense.

Ha I think you can blame that on England fans. It's a copy of a song for Harry Kane.

When the Harris song got sung yesterday I thought it was the best version of it I've heard at home. Don't know if it was drum related but it kept going 3 or 4 times and the more it repeats the more likely it'll spread around the stadium.

One of the best bits for me was when Bristol tried singing ole ole ole ole Bristol City but we drowned them out with Greg Leigh Greg Leigh.

I might have imagined it but a couple of times I'm sure I heard them singing the Liam Manning song back at us. They were a weird bunch.

Did anyone get a picture of the banner we had up in the south stand before the start? Was it boycott Oxford Mail again?

They were a weird bunch. I swear in the NS there was a geezer with four eyes staring over at us - I then realised 95% of them were wearing rose tinted glasses.

COYY'S.

Does he post on here? If so I wish him well and that Jim Smith banner at Wembley and the Des one against Norwich lives long in the memory. Hope he gets past his current challenges. Many of us have been there and will empathise.

Assuming it’s who I think it is, he used to post under the name John Lennon.

Yesterday was the first ever time I’ve sat in the east stand (was going on my own and fancied a change from SSL). I thought the atmosphere was good and I’m a big fan of the drum. I also like the new chants, there’s so many different songs being sung all over the country, I sometimes feel we get a little bit bogged down in the past (just my opinion - I don’t want to upset anyone). Please keep going, I’m sure they’ll catch on. Great work and great effort.
