Ashmolean and OUFC bloom shirt

Interestingly, my son (18, and into football shirts as fashion items) likes it.

Not sure if I like the shirt or not (but leaning more towards not I think)...but...what is the point in this? Who is the target market? What's the need for such a collaboration?

Feels to me like someone at Macron has said "we've got a load of this odd pale floral shirt kicking about, you can have them if you can think of a use for them"...well done for trying I guess.

Grumble grumble grumble.
Looking at the two models and style of the design - the Asian market. If it brings in some revenue, then ok but given it's limited edition, then presumably that revenue stream is a capped one.

I might be over thinking but is there a slightly early 1990s Hacienda Madchester thing going on?
That's what I meant when I said Britpop. Always getting my 90s genres muddled

The boxed one does seem to have an extra logo on it and is number 1-100? .£65 for a box and extra sticker...bargain.

It could be argued that collaborating with an institution that pilfered a load of treasured items from other countries is not at all woke.
and John Ruskin has some very not woke sides apparently.

Be great for the "yoof" and the expanding overseas market.................

For your average football fan it`ll be a hard swerve...... especially older, rounder supporters...........ironically those very people with the disposable income to lash out £60+ on a shirt.
