Been a while, and great to be in same division, but not that horrible one. Liked it to begin with but playing Luton brought the horror back. What a non football team they are, but effective.

Our manager reckons Oxford are well balanced side who can play long and short game, he seems impressed. As you know, no easy games in this league, which I reckon is the hardest in the world, what with fast transitions and the parachute money.

@Bodminyellow can't make today, bur many coming up? I'll be in Dun Cow if you fancy a crack, although I'll ensure @Essexyellows is not served ;).

@Sarge , you up?

Anyway have a great day in our very away friendly town.

Nice we have both started better than expected.

Thanks muchly! :ROFLMAO:

Was in barcode territory a couple of weeks back at Hebburn, couldn`t make it this time round - too much going on with the EYTowers(Mk4).
Read nothing but praise from your side how nice we all are, but you knew that.
Even @Bodminyellow caught up with a very old face who is that neck of the woods now.

Actually Hebburn has a lot of Sunderland fans, as does Jarrow, my town. Used all be in County Durham and you had to cross a river into a different county to see the unwashed

Drank in the Hilton Garden Inn and spoke to a trio of splendid geezers. They were just retired but so knowledgeable about OUFC which was refreshing. Absolutely talked us up on things like the Manor, Roker Pk, John Aldridge, big Bilston Whitehurst and all things football. However, I'm sure when I clocked the main guy I was chatting too and he was the biggest of the trio I'm sure that he was the one who cuffed me at the back of the London Rd during the match that became a pitched asbestos battle lol...but no harm done even though he was made of stone!

Really decent guys and humbling too. (And this was before the defeat!)

COYY'S

There were a few Oxford in the Dun Cow before the match. Had a canny craic with them although I'm not sure they understood us.

Good turnout by Oxford. @Bodminyellow is not taking it well mind :)

Nice little set up at the football club there, although talking to the old boys they pretty much agree the best days of football are long gone.

Either that or we were all just grumpy old gits. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Is that the Sportsy? Used to be Reyrolles. My Dad played for them and South Shields. 7k crowds i kid you not.
