Ex-Staff Amy Cranston

Mentioned this to my wife as she works for the British Heart Foundation. SkyBet have partnered with them and did a lot of stuff for all the Playoffs. They're trying to get 270,000 people signed up to learn CPR from the BHF app RevivR.

She was responsible for signing off all the information and science in the branding you'll have seen on the programmes and advertising hoardings. We also earned them £40,000 with our goals scored over the course of the semis and final.

I don't know whether Amy would want to do the press and have a big deal made over her actions, but it is definitely something more people need to be proficient in. Anyone who finds themselves in that situation is capable of saving a life.

I did the RevivR training through work. The bit where you record yourself doing CPR on a cushion looked dodgy! But well worth doing and would recommend everyone looking up RevivR, only takes 20 mins or so.

Is there anything Amy Cranston can’t do? Everytime she’s mentioned she’s doing something mental that makes me think ‘i couldn’t do that’.

A completely unsung hero here. I’m glad she got some fun in lifting the trophy in front of our fans too.
According to the posh fans she performed multiples miracles in the play off second leg

Having worked in regional news myself in the past, many local newspapers would be working this up as a front pager in the week after their football club wins at Wembley.

Monday for the splash on the win, Tuesday or Wednesday for a related good-news story with a human angle which would sell papers as the majority of their readership continue to bask in the glory.

Interview with Amy, something from the family of the person who’s life was saved, comments from the local NHS on the importance of everyone learning CPR.

The news desk would take it on and make it a front of paper piece as the sports writer would have his hands tied (and be knackered after working his/her ass off for the past fortnight).

Likelihood of the Oxford Mail doing so...

Hope so, would love to hear more on what happened.

thanks for sharing- no idea that she too is Oxford through and through.

What a credit she is to the club (and great to hear her on the psychological side of her job and what a difference support makes to the team and the staff)

The role and job description are both on ifollow news-so it looks like Amy has prob. been head hunted.

On the face of it a good step up into Prem set up though the management style there is "interesting". If what is claimed is true then someone might be walking into a constructive dismissal soon enough but don't quote me on that.
