McEachran?Good luck Alex!
Question is who does he replace?
From what I can see from Huddersfield fans. They are gutted that they could not get him back, he is very strong in a tackle, and seems a decent playerNever heard of the lad, someone fill me in on his quality, style of play, etc so I can get excited![]()
He loves a tackle and a booking
He'll be really useful for the relegation run in
@chelseayouth was saying he was an attacking player who played in any of the positions behind the striker but they converted him to CM
He struggled at first (also didn't help that we had no senior midfielders to help him)
He has good legs on him so can cover a lot of ground
I think if Hogg was fit for us last season more, Matos would have got more management off Hogg
Basically he would be able to do what Hogg can no longer do
He loved a wild challenge at first but our coaches got him to calm down a bit and be more useful
This is the type of stuff he was doing at the start
"I’m a tenacious player who likes to get up and down the pitch and put a tackle in."
Sounds good, we are very heavy on numbers in the middle of the park but still haven't quite found the mix quite right so far, it feels.
Yeah agreed. He's the backup for the DM duo. That was exactly the quote that got me excited from the article as well.
Basically sounds like he's going to be backup/competition for Vaulks & Brannagan - which is great because at the moment if one of them gets hurt (and it sounds like Cam might be already) or loses form drastically (Hi Will!), then we have a massive drop-off in those positions (McE doesn't have the legs, and no evidence yet that El Miz or Sibley have the defensive wherewithal to play there effectively in this system)
I don't think he'll be back-upYeah agreed. He's the backup for the DM duo.
Which begs the question about our AM position, which currently Ruben Rodrigues holds down, and we also have El Miz, Sibley, Goodrham, Dembele that can play there too. I think having RR, El Miz and Sibley for one position is a luxury (Goodrham and Dembele are also wingers); does this mean potentially we could see one of those three go out on loan (potentially El Miz most likely?)

You're joking aren't you? One thing Des was clear about was the need to carry several midfield players because of the workrate etc. are we going to loan out our first team players to another Champ team no - they certainly won't drop down at this stage!Yeah agreed. He's the backup for the DM duo.

Up to a point yes but there is certainly a CB role going begging and DM might need more options. But good we have more cover.I think it is not coincidental that Moore and Brannagan are the players out for a few weeks, and since then we've recalled Negru and signed Matos.
