Nice signing a player thats actually played in the championship for once we have signed to many that haven't played at this level and it shows
Thats not to say those that haven't wont come good
Even if they have maybe their best days are past them -if they weren't then we'd struggle to pay them!

I mean we signed Vaulks, Sibley, Bradshaw and Phillips based on their championship experience.

It’s not worth talking in hindsight nor is champ experience the be or end all.

Liked his interview. Comes across very well.

Funny how every goal he scores seems to go in the exact same spot.

Exactly what we've needed for a while though - a pacey left-winger.

What is he? He’s not a striker. He’s not a winger. He’s not a 10?

I know it’s only two games but can’t see where he fits?

Terrible tonight!!

I'm willing to give him more time to see what he's about, but i do feel genuinely sorry for him after his backpass - he looked absolutely distraught.
Agreed. Looked gutted! It was a shite night all round. Vaulks and Brannagan have both done similar.

Actually thought he looked ok on a few occasions. Can’t be easy leaving an organised, experienced Millwall team to slot into our shower and be expected to be a great hope of survival.

The deeper issue is the lack of options available to pass to. This comes down to coaching and player intelligence - both of which seem to be extremely limited in this team.

I liked that he had a go at his full back and tried to make something happen. It didn't always come off but it often doesn't come off for Mills yet he is (rightly) applauded for plugging away regardless and trying again. We need to stick with the players but especially those who have got the confidence to try and make something happen, as we're not getting out of this hole unless we have a go.

He was terrible last night and that back pass was the icing on the cake BUT and it's a big BUT I am willing to give the lad a change to show what he's about and what he can bring to this team.

I don't feel sorry for him and that back pass the same as I didn't for Vaulks or brannagan football is simple if in doubt kick it out and regroup don't try silly things

Early impressions everyone?

Impact sub for me. Not sure what his best position will be?

His best game today imo. Quiet against Cov. Dreadful against Norwich, but had some flashes today, including a good defensive effort after a bollocking from Lankshear
Deserved that bollocking. He had chances to pass and shoot and did neither and lost the ball and jogged back to help recover from his mistake. Lankshear passed him running back to help. This is the loan player Lankshear who had been on pitch from the start.

He pulled his finger out after that bollocking though, and really got stuck in defensively.

His most encouraging performance so far, though it was bizarre how long he kept claiming for that free kick while he still had possession and plenty of space to run into.

So far, his confidence seems very fragile. He has a bad moment and then his head goes. Far too mentally distracted.

Getting a sound 30 mins out of him seems a more realistic expectation than 90 mins at the moment.
Important fans remember to back him. Remember what happened to Murphy, who’s now based on advanced analytics the best winger in the championship.

Brilliant. Sounds like our boys have pulled out yet another oven-ready £1m+ attacking signing.
