What i'm most pleased about is that he's here early enough to get things how he wants before the season starts

I'd rather that than 10 games in to the season where he'd be working with someone else's players
 
Big risk. Big roll of the dice, but clearly one done with ambition at the crux of the decision - as the easy (+ cheaper) choice would’ve been to let Bloomfield continue.

It isn’t a long-term appointment. Either he is successful, at which point he will be immediately poached due to his name value and connections within the game, or he’ll be out of his depth and will have to be relieved. I wish him all the best whilst he’s here, and hope his departure is due to real success with us.

Keen to see the kind of players we get in to fill his squad with ‘elite behaviours’ etc.

And goodness me isn’t he lovely to look at. Not quite at Buckingham levels of Dishy, but after lion-riding, marathon-running, baseball-hat & EVO SL-wearing Rowett it’s nice to have some eloquence in the dugout again 🤣🤣🤣
 
Oxford United's Aaron Ramsey.... ;) Welcome and good luck mate. Excited by this, something different and a high ceiling if it goes well. All appointments have a potential down side.
 
I made my feelings very clear on the other thread on what is an appointment where we had options of proven experience when we are at a critical juncture. Our board have gone for the starstruck option, a tiny amount of experience likely with a view on the Asian market and a premier league star.. it’s a ludicrous appointment on paper.

That is their want..now he is here I will wish him the absolute very best for a long and successful career with us.
