What a brilliant start we have had.
Must be honest, I didn’t think that we would be quite as competitive as we have been.
The recruitment for this season seems to have been inspired as we have offered up some superb performances right across the whole team.
Injuries and fatigue have hampered us a little just recently but we have been scintillating to watch in almost every game and have looked dangerous in nearly every one.
This international break has come at a good time for us. Hopefully we can get a few tired legs refreshed and some injuries sorted to push on.

Yes we need a couple of the injuries to clear up.
I thought that we could do ok overall, but could take a couple of hammerings against the better teams (like Pompey were hammered 6-1 recently).
We have been competitive and could have won points in every game so far.
IF we keep on playing like this, we will be OK.
Derby, Hull, WBA and Swansea at home in the next 5 games will be interesting

Not in my wildest dreams could I have imagined we’d have played Norwich, Preston , stoke and Burnley at home and only drop points in one of those and still to lose a game on home soil this season

Away from home we’ve been in every match and only lost by the odd goal

I thought we would struggle but Des and Ed have built a team that we can all be proud of

Completely agree. My worry is that we have a few Saturday and midweek games coming up and I worry that they will take their toll. Overall though the team (and the support) has been unbelievable

Yeah, I worry about mounting injuries - we've had 6 players injured in the last 6 matches (5 of them in the first half, which previously struck me as quite a rare event.)

We have been competitive. The Team is well coached. There is some shape for the future; O’Donkor, Negru, Currie may all contribute as time goes by. The traditionalist in me still hankers after an imposing central striker but compared to this time last year, and definitely this time eighteen months ago I am one very happy bunny

Ten years ago today, we got absolutely pumped 5-1 on live TV versus Cambridge in League Two.
Michael Appleton was seen as being cooked by many on here (me included).
Where we have got to in that time is incredible...we are competitive, managed well and playing good football. Long may it continue.

We have made a brilliant start. Strangely, I am more anxious now than I was at the start of the season as I'm afraid ( with no plausible reason) that's it's all going to go pear shaped.Im really so very proud of what we have achieved so far that I obviously want it to continue.

Great start to the season, better than anyone expected and playing some of the best football we have seen in a long time.

Saying that though, I can’t help that we have dropped at least 5 points that we shouldn’t have. The defeats at Coventry, Blackburn and Bristol should have been draws at least and Luton were there for the taking but we didn’t punish them enough after they went down to 10 men.

The positives though is that the team will learn from those games.

Who would have thought that the Kassam would become a fortress?!
