50 points.....

The rule of thumb says 50 points will see you safe.... Fleetwood have 36 points and a game in hand....And are out of the relegation zone.... Makes me think 55/60 points is required.... In that case 15/20 points from 13 games...?

As I posted in another thread, explain how u see fleetwood getting to 54/59 points

the bottom 3 really in the s**t it’s only the 4th spot we really have to worry about. Fleetwood have lost their last 7 in a row. And would need 6 wins out of their last 14. 7 from 13 if we beat them, to get to 54 points. Considering they have managed 10 wins in 32 and are with out a manager I’d say thats fairly unlikely wouldn’t u that we will need 55 ? If they continue their form for the rest of the season we are in fact all ready safe on 41

I like your logic but 41 points keeps us up..... Never....

52 should see any team safe. Currently 8 teams fighting over one spot in my opinion and we have to play 6 of them. 4 wins is what's needed for safety. If a manager comes in this week i think we're push on positively. Think all the uncertainty is playing with players minds,Especially Out of contract players in summer.

Still have Doncaster,Northampton,Wimbledon,Fleetwood,Rochdale,Oldham
Left to play who are in this scrap with us. Honestly can see us getting 12 points from these teams.

The team who are bottom of league one are currently beating one of the best 16 teams in Europe so I suppose we shouldn’t write off anyone.

51 points should be enough, normally is, and from where we are that should be very achievable, it’s just to me that this side doesn’t seem to have much about it, I will be happy to stay up and rebuild in the summer when we will probably have a new owner and maybe, just maybe, a fooking manager.

It's one of the best teams in Europe's reserve team, it must be mentioned.

Does this not work in our favour? Rochdale playing all these extra games means there going to have some serious fixture congestion when they come back to the league. Best result for league 1 teams is a draw here so Rochdale have even more games to play.

I thought that, a win or draw for Rochdale is better for us, they will have have nineteen games to play in 2 and a bit months, that’s a push for any team. Plus I would love to see Rochdale beat them, however unlikely that is.

Cracking cup tie, they have two league games beforehand the replay which shows how busy and hard it’s going to be for them. It’s a shame that they are going to suffer for being good in the FA cup but at least we benefit.

I would agree with those who say only one place is likely to open up in the relegation fight, could be any of 7 or 8 clubs who fall into it though, and with our results recently we are one of those clubs but looking at our next 3 games is very much in our hands to quickly get out of it. It’s a worry at the moment but not a panic.

I love you like a brother and all that shite, but there are too many people on this forum who believe or hope the others will f**k up. If OUFC approach the dogfight we're in that way we will go down. Yesterday was mildly promising, the first cause for hope in a not inconsiderable period.

I never ever understand why people just assume every single team below us is going to find such stunning form for the remainder of the season to push past us.

Why so much optimism for them and such negativity for us??

I just don’t get it.
