Away Match Day Thread +++ 30/12/2017 Bradford City v OUFC match day thread +++

A splendid 2-0 victory for us with van kessel smashing in both from 30yds !!

Great to see no Xemi on the bench. Maybe now with 4 strikers available one of them can score. Mehmeti to come of the bench to score the winner and shush the Bradford fans.

When the ref today has reffed their games, they've never lost. Oh joy

Van Kassel and Martin playing for their futures at the club. Can Carroll stop the calls for a new right-back to be signed?
These guys should be alert and fighting for every ball, so much at stake for them personally. Can they handle the pressure? Can Martin manage to not slip on the wet surface?

Perhaps a larger question-mark now hangs over the future of Payne than a week ago.

Mowatt hasn't demanded a place in the team, so this is likely to be one of his last days at Oxford - MAPP wouldn't extend his loan... We'll see in the next few weeks if Pep Clotet is anything like as ruthless as MAPP...

Slightly off topic but regarding Carroll at right back.

Appleton thought that his natural position was defensive midfield. If and when we reach 50 points I’d like to see him start a few games in that position.

Pep said in an interview on Radox " focus " on the mentality of the players " suffered some blows this season " " the team has shown some resilience "
" the players are focused " " never a penalty on against Gillingham " " The defence is very solid " " but the offence not so " "we've had a couple of blips this season " " club working very hard with options for transfers the players must be of the right age to develop with the club "

Really? Mousinho and Williams, Tiendalli Hmmm

" good conversation with Huddersfield and regular about Jack Payne.

Well done to the travelling fans. Welcome back Agon Mehmeti. Trust Van Kessell pulls his finger out and puts in a good performance. According to RadOx pitch condition is poor, so will that be a leveller, will take the draw now but hoping for more, ever the optimist...

COYY!!!!!

So, I know its Nick Harris but he's claiming OUFC don't have much to spend in January so does that mean old slippery is on his way out? and leave us in the s**t.
Best he sells up this week so new owners have the potential to sort our s**t out.

I appreciate some of the results Pep has delivered, especially the Posh away win but let’s be honest he does talk some drivel....On Radio Ox Just now saying we had compete focus against Gillingham but we got Jack Payne man marking someone a half foot taller than him then failed to win the 2nd ball! We saw Wes Thomas make a pathetic attempt to score when one on one and Pep bemoans our luck in not scoring the 2nd! I wish he’d just be honest and say the players need to do better. Not to mention his interview after the Wigan match which was completely insufficient in recognising abject failure

Bradford desperate to get back to winning ways and cement a promotion place. Can only see 3-0 to them, followed by the usual sh*te from clothead, whilst slippery promises everyone a free hot dog and 8 £1 million pound strikers signed from The Turkmenistan 5th division.
clothead out!

Their home record is pretty rancid this season. Kind of surprising seeing how good they've been away from home

Can't see us getting anything from this. We're going to need good defensive discipline and structure to come away with something here, and GvK doesn't track back, so why he's starting over Henry (who does) is questionable. Especially considering the right side of our defence looks a little vulnerable. Also, what's happened with Payne? Is he off back to Huddersfield I take it?
