Replacement for Brannigan?? He's only a year or 2 older. You'd think your looking at replacing him with a younger version, not someone more or less the same age 🤷🏻‍♂️..
Would imagine McDonnell is seen more as the long term replacement for Cam.

That being said we need at least one more body in midfield, Cam's injury record over the last couple of years has become more of a concern.

Can't imagine we'll beat Leicester to his signature
Why not? They're an absolute shambles off the pitch. I know we're not perfect, but compared to them, we're a well oiled machine. All of their best players will be leaving this summer and if you're a player in Wintle's position, you'll want to come to a club that will be able to challenge for promotion; without the worry of whats going on within the club. Unless Leicester somehow find a money tree, I don't expect them to be challenging. They were a big club while they were in the PL, but right now, just another Sheffield Wednesday.

Wintle has played with Ramsey. He's also played with Brown, Harris and Emakhu.

Get it done!

My sentiments too. I’d like to think we are a much more attractive club. Players know each other. At Leicester it’s a mess and there must be untold pressure

I'd love him to return too, but I do sometimes wonder whether fans of all clubs have such a lust for "getting the band back together" or if we are particularly keen on it

We seem obsessed with it, time to move on. I mean this forum is still obsessed with what KR is doing and he's been gone nearly three seasons - and the majority wanted him gone, that's the strangest thing. Personally, I move on really quickly from ex managers and players - I couldn't really care less how a player does once he moves on from us, it's no longer relevant.

Also doesnt seem to have missed many games. Transfermrkt only has one injury listed which caused him to miss three games.

Does the fact we are trying to sign a CM (Wintle/Slattery)suggest BDK definitely off or do we need cover regardless?
Cam, Vaulks, McDonnell, BDK, Tyler.
Adding two to that seems overkill

I read somewhere Slattery is going to Wednesday.
I was expecting him at Oxford as he has links with the area and might be feeling homesick

Depends how Ramsey wants to play. All of the above midfielders can do something different - I would think Vaulks sees a drop in the minutes he plays.

If playing 4231 I imagine the options are Brannagan, Wintle, McDonnell, BDK to start regularly.

Quite simply you shouldn't be in football if you get homesickness.

The last thing I want is us signing players because they have a connection to the area - what's that nonsense ever meant when the whistle goes on a Saturday afternoon ? They don't try any harder or create more assists or score more goals.

I think we accepted it wasn’t a likely deal once Bloomfield left, but confirmation Onyedinma won’t be coming here. New deal signed at Wycombe

Mid-table League One player stays at mid-table League One club.

More good news.
