Transfer Window 26/27 Summer Embargo Window

I am so sick and tired of the club's attitude and approach to communication. Random video clips of a player that,we all agree, needs to stay. (The same was, indeed done for Tyler Goodrham for no apparent reason) The club simply cannot put this out there and expect us to be happy. What does it actually mean? Has a new contract been offered? Signed? Is he leaving? Utter stupidity from the comms dept.
All par for them, of course. We hear nothing from them for weeks on end (bar an exciting signing for the womens team) nothing about the new chairman, nothing about the new director (both were announced and that was it) We have learnt that Aldershot are expecting to play us in a pre-season friendly, from Aldershot, nothing from OUFC.
Nothing about pre-season build up really at all.

How are season ticket sales going? What's happening with memberships? What are the plans, strategies of the new chairman and board? I am frankly amazed that there has been no media activity related to the major shift in the boardroom. Has nothing been communicated? If not, why not? What is going on?

Have the entire comms dept buggered off for the summer? Does anyone at the club care?

Its probably nothing more than something to put out over social media at a time when everything at the club appears to be very quiet. Its so quiet that people are going to jump on anything they put out though.

When do we normally announce pre season games? Hard to know if its normally this deathly quiet but we just forget over the course of the year or if this is out of the ordinary.

And it isn't as if other clubs' recruitment teams won't know about him and this has since tipped them off.

If it is why don't we put one out for Dembele...
 
I think it's been said by others who have experience of working in and around the club, but OUFC doesn't seem to have a comms team or necessarily the human resources to implement one.

Instagram especially is a channel for content, it doesn't reflect or determine comms positions. Without a comms specialist, that has to come from the top, hence the comms we get are entirely sporadic.

The social media content has been generally great this season and they're allowed some time off. I'm sure there will be an influx of catch up posts when they return from holiday.

Seems that you have a few people in agreement; have you asked the club any of these questions or is this just a rant.
Perhaps direct your concerns to OxVox and they can ask the questions.

All of them? There's been little or nothing from weeks. New chairman, new director, build up to a new season post relegation, all this should be filling the clubs newsfeeds.

Do you seriously think that first targets being missed in the past couple of seasons has been due to our recruitment lead being a bit s**t, or is it more to do with being a smaller fish swimming in big, competitive waters?

There’s nothing to stop Tim Williams or anyone from the board updating the fans with what’s going on.

The social media team deserve a break and I don’t feel it would be fair to blame them given all the content they’ve delivered for the past two seasons.

It’s seems to be the same old with this club nothing about nothing, who is our chairman, saying that reminds me of that tv show “ who is the man in the mask Kemosabé ? “
