Good to see he's scored playing all across the front line - quite a few with his head and his left foot too (even one with his left elbow against Salford).

A 'perfect hattrick' against Swindon's comedy defence :ROFLMAO: :

Put it this way Ruben has gone into the Bolton side and is one of the best players. We had to offload him as he wasn’t good enough. Massive gulf in quality between the leagues. We will have more than enough without spending anything.
Louie Sibley is a promotion winner at this level. Mansfield fans were gutted to lose McDonnell in Jan. Harris will get double figures again. Tyler will be fit. If Mills stays he'll absolutely murder fullbacks at this level, if he doesn't we'll bag the cash and get an adequate replacement I'm sure. Ciaron Brown has won POTS for us at this level even as a left back, Helik's lack of pace won't be as exposed, nor will Cam's or Vaulksy's. Currie will be a joke in League One if he stays.

A LOT more to come from Jin-woo and Emakhu as well I'm certain. Plus we have two very good League One keepers who've both been promoted from the level.

I don't think everyone above will be with us, but I don't think they all need to be.

Can anyone explain why O'Donker has still managed to stay on the pay roll?
Time to bin him off, nowhere near good enough.
Because he has a contract same as Dembele/Sibley and the others who have barely featured.

I suspect those namse will be offered all over the place for the entirety of the summer and if no takers we might see some exits by mutual consent.

Agree

Agree entirely, though I would point out that Brown winning POTS from left back could easily say more about the standard of the rest of the squad than it does about him. Hypothetically being the least s**t of a bunch of s**t players isn't exactly a really measure of talent.

That said, he is a top player at this level, and I'm just picking holes in what you're saying because it's a Friday and I'm melting in my studio. Beautifully lit with skylights, but essentially a greenhouse these days.

We've got to sign Hokky Caraka for the song:
"Hokky Caraka
Hokky Caraka
La la la la la la la"
Surely we’d sing The Hokey Cokey tune with slightly altered words and rebrand it as the ‘Hokky Caraka’.

If Marcus Forss came to us and we manage to keep what we have then I suggest you get down the bookies place a little wager
If he can stay fit for a full season in L1 he’d be unbelievable at the level, would be a gamble given his injury record.

I agree with most of that, but not Sibley, unfortunately.

Couldn't even get in Bradford's squad on loan there last season. Not good enough.

Think you're probably right. And expect he's on good money. The guy is an ok footballer, has a goal in him, and is versatile. So you could make an argument to keep him around. But not if he takes up too much if the budget.

Not Ian Duries greatest moment.

At this level it is very much horses for courses. I wouldn't be too upset if he moved on, but at the same time I'm not writing him off just yet as a decent L1 squad option.

Another way of looking at it is if we signed Sibley tomorrow you'd be saying "he played 40-odd games for Derby a couple of years ago when they finished second and spent his spent his entire career in the championship or top end of league one... and he's a fantastic age."

When we signed Josh Murphy his career was in a tailspin and it took him 18 months to find his feet. If he earns the opportunity under Bloomfield and he can find his best postiion, he will surprise a few.

I think we need to get away from the mindset of having people around because they can do a job.
We need winners from top to bottom….
The amount of players on our books who have made no to little impact this season just gone is absolutely insane.

For me, it’s 18 senior pros of real quality, subsidised with a 3 or 4 youth/young quality loans.

and you're falling into the trap of thinking League One is in any way comparable to the Championship because we struggled. We could lose 5 of our better players and our squad would still be stronger on paper than the one that went up.

“Do a job” squad player squeaks of mid table mediocrity. We need quality.

Don’t underestimate League One. We really ARE NOT just going to walk it with a couple of additions to the squad.
