Preston are too tight/poor/stupid to pay the going rate. It's not a negotiation.

If we have a bid of £2m rejected by Swansea for Vipotnik it's not 'the clubs can't agree a fee' it's 'the buying club are off their f*cking heads'.

Mills may have been talking to Preston, may have agreed terms and a deal is imminent
He comes into training and trains alone because the clubs are finalising a deal.
That deal falls through on Thursday/Friday so Mills can’t be part of the squad because he hasn’t featured or travelled on the Friday.Ramsey tells the absolute truth about Stan training alone and now the deal has fallen through says Stan will be training with the squad next week.

BDK just isn’t match fit yet and will continue training next week hopefully making the bench soon

Which even in normal circumstances would be a perfectly normal decision. Without an embargo we’d probably be looking at a loan to cover for Jin-Woo until January, let alone sell our only other bona fide option.

To me this is the most straight forward decision the club will have to make for years unless PNE produce the sort of fee that makes a material difference to our situation. Selling him would raise all sorts of questions and we have enough already.

At the risk of sounding like @greatunclekip - a good example of 'speculate to accumulate' here - we could have had a top European striker who could do the business here and now and also grow in value significantly by doing so.

Probably the closest we've come in my lifetime to actually spending serious money on a striker and we bottled it.
