The club sets a high valuation and waits. PNE don't have the finance to meet that valuation, ergo, no deal. Might be a differnt story come January window but, until then, no player is going anywhere unless the club are left with no other option. Right now, OUFC is very much not a selling club.

Given the quotes from The Telegraph article that Manorlounger shared, I suspect he'd be looking for a new Head Coach as well as a winger if he decided to flog him.

Apologies if I’m being thick and this has already been answered a number of times but can we just clear something up?

If Stan leaves, is it the case that we can bring in a player under the following rules:

1) A free transfer and we can pay his wages
2) A loan for 12 months with no wage contributions

I might be wrong on this but even if the rules stipulate that this is possible it’s generally to help teams who cannot field a squad. If we are actively player trading while under a registration embargo and not providing the necessary proof of funding then that could be viewed dimly by the EFL and risk sanctions like a points deduction or a longer embargo.

Absolutely 3 year contract is 1.5 million extra of which as a footballer you can put 50% of that in a pension thats 750,000 It makes the should I stay or should I go a little bit of an easier decision.

I genuinely think he’s playing a blinder and I really hope he backs that up with some early wins.

He isn’t pandering to the club publicly (nor should he) but he’s also not throwing shade on them either. He’s challenging them to not make this any worse in a steely but respectful manner. Good on him.

Neither the EFL nor Oxford has publicly said the club is refusing to provide proof of funding

The EFL’s own embargo policy specifically allows one-in, one-out registrations where a club has 24 or more Established Players. So, assuming Stan counts as one and leaves, Oxford can apply to register a replacement. The EFL would assess the wages, squad numbers and financial position before approving it

There is no question of Oxford secretly “player trading” behind the EFL’s back—the EFL must approve the registration. If it refuses, the player cannot be registered. If it approves, Oxford has complied with the process.

A points deduction or extended embargo would require a separate breach or disciplinary finding. It does not arise because a club uses an expressly permitted, EFL-approved one-in-one-out arrangement

It seems a little early to be playing chicken with his job, but you can almost read a reverse "back me or sack me" type message into a lot of what Ramsey has said so far - very much using the board's own words to back up his position.

It is just possible that what's going on is nothing. The Chairman and Manager have confirmed that the intent is to keep players. There may, or may not, have been some inquiries/offers. It could be that nothing has been accepted, no moves are happening.
The internet noise is then just noise.
Therefore the Club would have nothing to say, hence the silence. Sometimes no news is good news.
We might know a bit more when we see the Orient team sheet.
I wouldn't expect the Club to respond to every rumour, that's our job.
