The forum would encourage all members to consider joining OxVox during this important moment in our history. See here for more information.
The club sets a high valuation and waits. PNE don't have the finance to meet that valuation, ergo, no deal. Might be a differnt story come January window but, until then, no player is going anywhere unless the club are left with no other option. Right now, OUFC is very much not a selling club.Agree it makes no sense to sell players, but if a player wants to leave, then what
Of course, that's assuming that Dusan isn't trying to sell himYou'd like to think that, as Ramsey is a coach who has been in the game up until relatively recently and his pedigree, he's able to have conversations with Mills on his future that are valued perhaps more than the likes of Bloomfield. Similarly, I think Dusan's experience as an agent means he can help manage the situation.
Given the quotes from The Telegraph article that Manorlounger shared, I suspect he'd be looking for a new Head Coach as well as a winger if he decided to flog him.Of course, that's assuming that Dusan isn't trying to sell him
I might be wrong on this but even if the rules stipulate that this is possible it’s generally to help teams who cannot field a squad. If we are actively player trading while under a registration embargo and not providing the necessary proof of funding then that could be viewed dimly by the EFL and risk sanctions like a points deduction or a longer embargo.Apologies if I’m being thick and this has already been answered a number of times but can we just clear something up?
If Stan leaves, is it the case that we can bring in a player under the following rules:
1) A free transfer and we can pay his wages
2) A loan for 12 months with no wage contributions
Tell me if you was a high profile footballer languishing in league One on Ten grand a week and you got injured then what sidelined .
So as a high profile player and you were transferred on Twenty grand a week and got injured are you better off , of course. Lots of little things people don’t take into account like the above.
Absolutely 3 year contract is 1.5 million extra of which as a footballer you can put 50% of that in a pension thats 750,000 It makes the should I stay or should I go a little bit of an easier decision. What?
People don't take into account that £20K is better then £10K?
And that's a little thing?
Be even more funny if Stan stays and people take a moment to reflect on some of their posting over the last 48 hours!
Blackpool set to make offer for Mills.

Jason Burt, who writes for the Telegraph, is an OUFC fan and often attends games.Love the fact our head coach has the ear of the national press.
It does make no sense to sell Mills, if you believe this squad can get promoted. Now he's stressed the player's importance to two news outlets, he's put down a marker hasn't he?
I doubt our ownership are worried about PR, but if they don't support the man they put in place a few weeks ago (at some expense), then it's just bad business.
I believe only Spencer, Helik and BDK have release clausesPreston just have to meet the release clause that Steve said Mills has, right?
That security check to get into the non-paywall site was quite arduousFull interview here: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...sey-interview-coaching-oxford-arsenal-arteta/

What are you waffling on about? Give it a restI don’t agree with your posts comments is enough to describe how you feel when you reply/. raise objections to others.
It’s an insult to call a fellow supporter a Dick Head , we have the right to write posts it’s called free speech as long as it’s not threatening behaviour , human rights act . Apologies accepted on your behalf !
I genuinely think he’s playing a blinder and I really hope he backs that up with some early wins.Quite. A cynical fan might argue he doesn't have compete faith in what he's been told and wants the Board's promises on record so they can be held to account. Same with his after match comments in pre-season. The guy is clearly no mug and if the club reneges on those promises, well...
You just proved my point , don’t be ignorant as it makes you look stupid and foolish, not saying you are , nevertheless lead by example! What are you waffling on about? Give it a rest
Neither the EFL nor Oxford has publicly said the club is refusing to provide proof of fundingI might be wrong on this but even if the rules stipulate that this is possible it’s generally to help teams who cannot field a squad. How long have PNE been chasing Stan?
From memory the rumour started when the players returned, Stan then didn’t go to Spain!!!!
Now has his agent been doing some work behind the scenes a nd put some sort of package together?
Seems the rumour must have legs in it for it still to e running.
Maybe it’s that PNE have finally approached the club or Stan may have put in a transfer request, we just don’t know.
But hope this is resolved quickly because it isn’t doing the club or the fans any good or the rest of the squad.
Looks like the club don’t want him to go unless they get a realistic valuation.
Not sure what happens if Stan wants to go and the club say no.
For a man of your talents? That security check to get into the non-paywall site was quite arduous
Give it a rest.
The constant belittlement of others thoughts and fears for the football club is becoming increasingly unedifying. There are a couple of very regular posters that cannot wait to chip in with their egotistical comments at the first opportunity.
This is a football forum and this thread is discussing a players destination for the up coming season. Nobody will be reflecting on their comments, and nor should they. In truth, you suggesting otherwise has you coming across as a bit of a dick.
But if he had a mind to down tools then that creates another problem, not saying he would but it’s a possibility. Then he doesn't go. He has a contract with the club.
TrueIt is just possible that what's going on is nothing. The Chairman and Manager have confirmed that the intent is to keep players. There may, or may not, have been some inquiries/offers. It could be that nothing has been accepted, no moves are happening.
The internet noise is then just noise.
Therefore the Club would have nothing to say, hence the silence. Sometimes no news is good news.
We might know a bit more when we see the Orient team sheet.
I wouldn't expect the Club to respond to every rumour, that's our job.
