The forum would encourage all members to consider joining OxVox during this important moment in our history. See here for more information.
I don't know if Mills will leave or not, but it doesn't sound logical to me from our side.Sadly the price we may have to pay for financial mismanagement & spending our budget the last two seasons on players who were not good enough to sustain us at championship level with next to no sell on value.
It is rife on their forum. It's a done deal.Yep and only the odd mention on PNEs forum.
I don't believe their will be a domino effect. Most of the players seem happy.I don't know if Mills will leave or not, but it doesn't sound logical to me from our side.
We have made a conscious choice to go into the embargo in order to keep The Assetsthat we have control over. If we hadn't have made that choice, there would be a fire sale.
Those that tend to have some understanding suggest a Mills and BdK sale doesn't get us out of this, so why sell Mills, through choice, unless he is agitating for it? Additionally, the optics are hideous. Spencer, Currie etc would surely all be banging on the door of whoever senior at the training ground also wanting a move.
We either commit to the bit and look to have a price on everyone and see all of our quality players walk out, or we make a stand and hang on to everyone that we can.
Players might be unhappy that they have to hang around (although Currie didn't look like he was having an awful time post Ipswich), but letting one go would surely create a domino effect.
I think the club are anticipating the BdK clause gets met, possibly Helik (re: playing Long alongside Brown) but outside of that an *optional* sale would spiral the club (imo).
He's one of the few good players we actually have - that's the problem. Ramsey isn't here to steer us to 14th.Mills is good but not that good
Behave yourself

Its not projection - it's speculation.Maybe Ramsay believes he can do things with the squad even without Mills. There's no need to project your frustration at Mills potentially leaving onto our new manager.
Only saw a few posts on the forum in the last 5 pages. It is rife on their forum. It's a done deal.
Mills has gone I reckon, too much smoke without fire, especially on their forum with about 4 of their ITK confirming it. For me, we should have traded like this every season. The key is to recruit the next Stan Mills. Yes, we all know we are in an embargo but hopefully it won't be forever. Possible cheap young Arsenal loans might end up softening the blow, when possible
Because they're currently the best team in EnglandWhy Arsenal ?
I believe he’s now doing that. But didn’t over the last 2-3 seasons, instead foolishly trusting his CEO and recruitment team to run the club while he remained overseas. Except none of them were competent enough, and the owner knew the square route of F-All about running a club sustainably. But I do think the future will be brighter now we’re operating within budget and hoping to move into a bigger stadium with better revenue streams.I’d like him to cut his cloth accordingly and run the club in a way that stops us just racking up more and more debt. I think that is starting to happen.
With Jin-Woo’s injury as well, a closed shop should be completely non-negotiable.I don't know if Mills will leave or not, but it doesn't sound logical to me from our side.

We're not an embarrassment. We're just skint. These things happen when you get relegated. Our biggest problem is we haven't been relegated for over 20 years and our fans are not used to it and struggling to accept the consequences. With Jin-Woo’s injury as well, a closed shop should be completely non-negotiable.
The money doesn’t achieve anything whatsoever unless we are indeed month to month now as far as wages are concerned. We’re weaker for it, still in an embargo and probably about to kick off a succession of problems for Ramsey in the week leading up to the season. That’s if he sticks this out following a second significant breach of trust already.
We’re an embarrassment, quite frankly.
Our fans should have cared more when it happened….. it was never going to end well, but a collective shrug of the shouldersWe're not an embarrassment. We're just skint. If it wasn’t for the embargo we would be signing AIAI is getting bloody good these days.
Spare a thought for that poor baby. Even they’re asking why the hell all of their toys have gone because we might be selling a player that probably 80% of our fans expected us to sell at the start of the window, and even though Jack Currie sounded the epitome of a happy footballer on Saturday, he’ll be breaking the manager’s door down the minute the generally expected departure happens. But don’t worry; that manager won’t be there anyway. He’s already planning his way out.No reliable journalists reporting the Mills story/rumour. If it's so close you would think one of them would have it.
Just a positive angle / thought for those who haven't yet thrown their toys out the pram!
If it is 3 mill then it would be paid in full with no parachute payments. Erik is skint so this is welcome cash !Yeah I hope so. I clicked on the guys post history on the Preston forum and there is lots of confirmed stamps next to transfers that he has posted going way way back. Seems like he doesn't get it wrong that often but let's hope he has this time.
Will be disappointed if it's only 3 mil but beggars can't be choosers it seems.
I’m trying not to be pessimistic but Dusan did say judge him on his actions not his words. It amazes me that anyone is remotely surprised by this. It’s about cash in ASAP and whilst likely we aren’t going to be taking the first offer, we aren’t going to be pushing particularly hard.
Erick is recouping some of his losses before/if he decides to go again. There is not a single player untouchable.
I suspect there’s bigger hits to come.
And the thing we as a forum are unclear on is whether that is a terrible thing for us (jeopardising success this season) or ultimately a good thing (cash in the near future can be spent on exactly what we need it spent on, and not just shovelling more unsustainable debt on to the club). The EFL rules are there "for our own good". Maybe our best chance of surviving is not that Erick splashes unlimited cash that bankrupts us in the medium term, but that we struggle within more (relatively) constrained means. It seems crystal clear that owners lumping cash into clubs to advance them is not appropriate anymore, so the cash has to be investment in actions that yield income for future sustainable expenditure.Let’s just be clear, Erick isn’t skint. He’s chosen not to provide the financial evidence/backing required by the EFL under the new rules.

Quite possibly. Which is why it’s even more important that those given access to the company credit card are suitably qualified and highly competent. Maybe that’s where our new Chairman comes in?….And the thing we as a forum are unclear on is whether that is a terrible thing for us (jeopardising success this season) or ultimately a good thing (cash in the near future can be spent on exactly what we need it spent on, and not just shovelling more unsustainable debt on to the club). All sensible words but it’s not exactly an exciting project to sell to a manager or coach. Especially when we can’t even bring anyone in and our academy, so far, hasn’t exactly been a rich source of young talent. Hopefully this season will prove different on that one.And the thing we as a forum are unclear on is whether that is a terrible thing for us (jeopardising success this season) or ultimately a good thing (cash in the near future can be spent on exactly what we need it spent on, and not just shovelling more unsustainable debt on to the club). Sounds a bit like last season… the dream was sold and then the rug was pulled. All sensible words but it’s not exactly an exciting project to sell to a manager or coach. Ramsey has been allowed to bring his own staff in which helps. Let’s hope his enthusiasm stays intact and he sees enough about the club to still think it’s worth persevering with. I can’t see how anyone wouldn’t see losing Mills is a huge blow to him and his ambitions

I think we will need to sell more than 1 player sadly to get our house in order.I don't know if Mills will leave or not, but it doesn't sound logical to me from our side.
