If the release increases towards the end of the window, BdK having a run around in League One for a few weeks before going would appear to work in our favour.

Not sure how it plays out, but I imagine the club expect BdK to go if/when his clause is met (most probably the same with Helik) whilst retaining Spencer/Mills/Currie etc

If we were fortunate enough to find ourselves in a position where we somehow allowed to supplement the squad we'd need to make sure those additions were (as far as is practicably possible) those who could handle the rigours of a full League One season.

Interesting call for Long to play over Helik. I know it’s pre season but to me that team was his best team. Long was the pick of the bunch in the back line. Dominant in the air and controlled the back line. Pushed into midfield a lot and started attacks.

Possibly Long gets the nod over Helik because he is slicker with the ball in possession.

You don’t know the circumstances, but if it was acceptable for Ramsey and he okay’d it then it’s good enough for me.

If BDK leaves in the next week he leaves, but if what Ramsey says is true then I see no issue with it, if Roosken has got no family members in the country then having someone there who knows his extended family is more than acceptable.

Without any further confirmation then we have to take what Ramsey says at face value, don’t know what he would get from bringing Roosken’s family into a situation in regards to BDK refusing to play because he wants out, I don’t think that would go down too well.

I think Ramsey is trying to protect all sides at the moment because if no bids come in that meet the release fee then he’s going to want to keep the door open for BDK. Fact is he needed to change the reason because illness was the reason for the 3 previous absences.

We can if we drop below 23 players, but those loan players have to be completely free, no wage contributions and no loan fee. So it’s going to be players that are not getting interest from other clubs. We can sign out of contract players as well if we drop below 23 players but only for the season, so again it’s going to be players who no one else wants.

While we are in the embargo the signings we can make, if we go below the 23 squad size rule, are going to be pretty limited, you might get lucky but the odds are against you with the rules.

We can't register anyone unless someone leaves permanently or we terminate their contract.

But if they did, then we can bring a replacement in on a half season loan, and in theory pay absolutely nothing towards their wages if the other club agreed to pay 100%. Pretty unlikely though.

Well I’ve seen him still training in numerous videos so from that point of view he’s still around the squad and training.

If he was refusing to train or had a bad attitude I’m not sure he’d be training with the rest of the group.

I mean bringing Roosken’s family into it would be uneccessary as he could just say something else that doesn’t involve another player and his family.

Time will tell, at least if he does go we are at least getting top dollar.

I dunno, if a teammate was outright refusing to play because he wanted a move, and the manager blamed him not playing on helping me and my family out, when he wasn’t, I’d find it at the very, very least odd and probably strange and annoying
