Dembele unlikely to feature and looks like a change of formation to suit available personnel.

In that case:
Cumming
Kioso, Moore, nelson, Brown
McEachran
Dale, El Mizouni, Sibley, Goodhram
Scarlett

Subs; Ingram, Long, Leigh, Ter Avest, Vaulkes, Ebiowei, Harris, Rodrigues, Goodwin

Not sure why we would need to change shape just because of Dembele missing out. Both Dale or Ebiowei can fit straight in.

because he doesn't think Dale or Ebiowei are up to it I am guessing, not from the start and away to the top of the table team anyway.

Unquestionably a tough one tomorrow.
They’ll fancy turning us over that’s for sure.
However we can look at our performances this season and see that we are a team with serious strength of character even when put under extreme pressure.
I wouldn’t rule out us getting something out of this game, belief is so self evident in us despite the injuries.

Can I still buy tickets for this? I’m now able to go! Couldn’t see tickets online anymore but will try and call ticket office at 3:30 when I finish work…

Come out of this one with a point or more and I’ll be happy.

Goals and wins will have to start coming from somewhere soon. I just don’t see it coming from this one just yet.

It’s going to be a tough test, but the championship this season has a feel of anyone can beat anyone. No real standout teams to me, not like last season. The only downside is we are missing a few of our attacking players out wide, which makes me think we could go wing backs!

I like this as well - allows us to play both our strikers, who should have complementary skillsets, in their best position, and move Goodrham inside and give him a lot of freedom. Kioso and Leigh are both well suited to the wingback position and give us pace and power on the flanks against what is seemingly a very talented young Sunderland side.

I like it more than the alternative, which is sticking with our same formation and starting either Dale or Ebiowei (neither of whom have shown enough in their sub appearances to make me think they warrant a start) or playing Sparky on the flanks.

Can see this being a bit of a chastening one. It feels like the level of our performances has tailed off a bit and, combined with (or more probably because of) a growing injury list, I think this will probably be too much for us. Sunderland are flying.

I like the idea of using the game as an opportunity to try a different formation. I think our standard formation requires at least one rapid winger to pull the oppo defence around a bit and to pin back opposition fullbacks. With PP, Edwards, Kioso and, to an extent, Phillips all out, I don’t see us as having the outlet we would need if we put in Dale or Ebiowei. Having a back 5, with Tyler at CAM and Vaulks and maybe El Miz sitting, would give us a decent midfield to contain and hit them on the break imo.

Still, I watched some of their game at Luton midweek, and they do look bloody good. That Rigg looks great and the LW will give Kioso a real test.

3-1 Sunderland I reckon, I’m afraid.
