To be fair that’s one thing Ronaldo has achieved that messi will never achieve scoring against OUFC

Only in a friendly though, done nothing against us when it really matters

Messi and Ronaldo have both come up short on biggest stage, then again what did Maradona, Cruyff and Pele do against us? Starting to wonder if the greatest player of all time isn't Matt Tubbs.

I actually really like that formation, given our lack of wingers.

Leigh and Kioso can stay nice and wide, and get as high up the pitch as possible, and they’ve both got the engine to get up and down.

Scarlett and Harris, if they can figure it out, could really test defences by constantly looking to run in behind.

As @Foley mentioned, if they haven’t been working on it on the training ground then it will be tricky but I’d like to see us bust that out at some point if we stay in a sticky spell and results don’t improve. I can see it really working for us

The attendances are interesting, if you listen to the bigger clubs we have played against from that list you would never get the impression that they for a long time got crowds similar to us, just shows how over time you can increase your fanbase.

We are smaller than most of the other clubs in this division because we were late starters/history and facilities, absolutely no reason we can't catch up to the likes of Preston, Norwich Blackburn, Swansea etc given the (growing) size of Oxfordshire and the fact that it is far enough away from big cities to have its own identity.

Staying adaptable is good, and you should always have two formation options on hand to compensate for injuries and game situations.
However, I don't think adjusting the defence is the right way at the moment, given they have formed a solid team with good understanding at the moment. And there would be some frightening gaps in midfield as well.
Same formation tomorrow with minimal changes depending on fitness levels, for me.

For anyone else travelling up, there are multiple sections of road works and 1 and 2 lane restrictions on the M1.

It would probably be worth allowing extra time for the journey.

If we can keep them quiet for 20/25 minutes tomorrow then i think we can grow into the game and start to impose ourselves on the contest. I'm yet to see us be completely outclassed or out-thought by a team in this league and i'd be surprised if tomorrow is any different.

2-1 Ox.

Thanks for the heads up on the roadworks. Might leave a little earlier.

Interesting game this.

They are clearly a very talented young squad who are high on confidence and it wouldn't surprise me if they blow us away.

Conversely, we have stayed in every game so far this season. If we can weather the storm we might be able to nick something as I think their defence can be got at.

Would like to see Scarlett/Sparky play on O'nien as he doesn't convince me as a Centre Back.
