That game was complete and utter chaos. No matter how hard we tried to pluck defeat from the jaws of victory, we just couldn't manage it.
3 more points and move on.

Shemmy and Harris are not up to this level, they seem to make us worse when they come on. Two shocking misses.

I was surprised the subs didn’t come quicker, we looked very leggy second half.

A wins a win but that was an awful watch second half.
That is obvious, but surely whatever level you play at you must be testing the keeper at the very least.

I don't know what Rowett says to the team at half time but, it for sure is not motivating anyone to play better. Subs made too late again, and why oh why Mark Harris? We could have swapped Dembele for Krastev, Leigh for Currie and left it at that. But no, we have to be defensive and sit back after all, we were leading seems to be the mentality. In fact we had upset the script by going 2 up. 1 is sufficient, thank you gentlemen. That's how I like my football. I can just envisage Rowett telling the players.

We won FFS!

Are we the most negative support in existence

Yes we did… a welcome 3 points and a real relief after that 2nd half, which was a tough watch.

But, you have to ask yourself if that was a performance to take into the next game and build on.

We scraped through in the end and look hugely vulnerable.

It is not unreasonable to be really concerned about how that game panned out regardless of getting the 3 points.

Anyway, onto the next game…. See if we can manage two in a row.

Im off to enjoy a celebratory beer.

At this level I think you just need to enjoy the points and wins we get, especially away. Also our support seems to just rate everything by the last half it watched, had those halves been reversed then everyone would be buzzing.

We are not going to be a dominant side away from home at this level, we have essentially only managed that once in our entire history, so the misery coming out after an away win is a bit over the top.

After watching Wrexham and the second half today, there are much deeper issues within the team and it's not as simple as 'just enjoy the points'.

I’m definitely of the mind that the result is really all that mattered there and the second half performance is (somewhat) irrelevant.

Everyone who isn’t associated with OUFC wanted us to get beaten today. We’ve come out, got our goals, and in the face of unbelievable pressure from all sides in the last 30 minutes we’ve ridden our luck but more importantly defensively stood up to the task.

The result is all that mattered there. We got it. We were for a LONG time the main headline on the BBC Championship coverage. We’ve popped the balloon, spoiled the party, ruined the afternoon. We’ve gotten to a 1 PPG finally, and we’re above some truly massive football clubs. Nothing but delighted with the result. But it is VITAL we find a way to be a more consistent threat. That second half was terrifying viewing

Let’s enjoy the 3 points, 6 points from our last 9, and the fact we are now where we are in the table.

The last 2 performances have been shambolic in the main, but we’ve somehow got 3 points today and may as well enjoy a 2nd away win, as many as we had all last season. No game is easy in this league and we at least kept going and battled and scrapped our way to a much needed win.

Time for an alcoholic drink!!

A week ago, we were all over Derby and everyone was purring! Derby have gone on and won two on the bounce without conceding. Let's just see what happens but im definitely not as pessimistic as you..

Yeah fair. Just felt a bit numb after that. Victory alongside frustration and mild emptiness is a weird feeling to have. In other, slightly surreal news, though – we're now above Southampton in the table 💪🏻

Three points is three points, and that makes it two wins in three games. I 100% would have taken that eight days ago.

Whilst the second half performance wasn’t great, and both the players and coaching staff need to learn from that, there are mitigating circumstances; including a second-successive away game in four days (Wednesday had two at home, how’s that fair scheduling?) against a side with 25,000 fans right behind them.

Let’s take the points home, be happy with them, and use the results from last eight days as a platform for the rest of the season

True to an extent. Three points away from home is great.

But if GR came out in his after match interview and just said, it's 3 points so what is the problem with everyone's concerns over our performance, he would, quite rightly, be slated.

I was feeling positive after we beat Derby and Bristol City further back and commented about how well we played.

Since then we've been mostly horrendous and I have concerns, therefore my opinion has changed. If you want a trophy for being less 'pessimistic' than me then go ahead and claim it.

Scrappy win, terrible performance, looked like a team clearly lacking confidence but 3 points are 3 points.
We won’t be in the bottom 3 going into the international break.

Not at all certain that, but a huge relief to pull ourselves up to the point-per-game mark.

We've deserved some iffy points.

Krastev was awful
Should have been replaced much earlier,Dembele or Mills much better options
Hope Brannagan injury isn’t too bad.

Rowett must have seen Bannan was running the show second half ,why didn’t he tell one of our players to man mark him?

That was a strange one. Pretty much everything that was good went through him. Amazing how good that guy is still at nearly 36. Carrying an injury as well apparently

I wasn’t at the game, today Jerome , but……

I am starting a petition.

‘All championship games are to be restricted to one period of 45 minutes’ 😊👍🏼

(Trouble is we would still play cr💩p for 22.5 minutes……)

COYYsFFS!🤦

I think there needs to be a sense of perspective though. We’re a small fish in a big pond, and are hamstrung massively financially (thanks Kassam), so we need to scrap for whatever we can get.

Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of good as we still establish ourselves at this level. Rowett isn’t perfect and neither are the players, but if they were then they’d be in the Premier League. Also for all the flack Rowett gets, he’s not the one missing chances like Harris and Shemmy did
