May have been asked before or elsewhere, but do we know how much we'd expect a sponsor to pay to be the main shirt sponsor?

Clearly we need a kit to play in this season. That’s assuming last season’s kit and sponsorship deal need replacing, if not I’d stick with what we used last year until a new deal can be reached.

I’d be ok, in the interim, with us offering free sponsorship to a local worthwhile charity, not saying Oxfam specifically but someone like them, or a local hospice or even a charity linked to the late great Joey or Mad Dog.

It could be a positive PR thing for the club if we gave free shirt sponsorship to such a cause.

Longer-term though we need a profitable sponsorship deal as that will count as income under FFP rules.

Yes I'm bothered because delays will affect sales, I'd defo have bought one for my summer hols but now not so sure (1st week away next week). I tend to either buy a shirt early, or wait until they are heavily discounted at the end of the season.

I am at the age where I should probably not be wearing shirts, but always buy one as I think in 30 years or so they will be quite cool to look at! Defo wished I'd kept my shirts from the late 80s / early 90s..won't be making that mistake again.

10 years ago the average in the Championship was £500,000 a year. Now there are huge TV deals in place, electronic advertising and extended social media opportunities. We also have a decently sized scoreboard. There's really no reason why we couldn't get £1m a year.

Assuming the kit will be yellow and will be received with “I love it” or ” I hate it” response ..wrong yellow/wrong blue/don’t like the collar….comments.
