Covid or the police being an a**e?
Covid.
Test results showing cases at Swindon. Discussions this morning. Be surprised if it is on given our stance v Crewe.
Covid or the police being an a**e?
Whoop di dooo, La di daaaa, if it isn't the classic Oxford United boys who haven't worked a day in their lives because their stuck up posh bastard fathers have handed everything to them on a silver platter. Have fun in League Two next season when we send you on your way Saturday arvo. Zoop off you stuck up pricks.
Tranmere decided to play their game, pretty much out of spite, to make a point to the EFL who they're still having arguments with over issues relating to the end of last season and other events that followed. That would be the ultimate P**s take if two teams could pick and choose when they want to play us but Tranmere we’re forced to play there game the other week with youth players
MalcThe big home match for this season. Let's make it 8 in a row, the confidence should be back and if Atkinson is fit to play we should be able to rub those 6-fingered Homo Sapiens into the ground.
Wasn’t a first team fixture as the under 21 teams entered at this point so weakened side was put outMalc
Are you saying we haven’t lost to the scum for seven games? Which is correct
However
We haven’t beaten them seven in a row, because I’m sure we drew with them in some tin pot game
Someone must know
According to the rules the game must go ahead. If it’s postponed, its a KR decision.
Thanks HorseWasn’t a first team fixture as the under 21 teams entered at this point so weakened side was put out
those list of things Crewe ignoredWhat are the rules?
At some point there needs to be firm rules about this. You can’t have a world where one club has four or five positive cases one week and plays regardless, and another has four or five cases the next and calls it off.
Whether it’s sensible to be carrying on playing football or not in the current climate is a separate issue - if it IS going to carry on then there has to be firm rules on numbers of cases, and something that says you need X to be able to postpone a fixture, otherwise you just have to live with it and carry on. They need consistency, otherwise the fixture list is just going to fall to pieces over the next 2/3 months, to the point that it hugely handicaps some clubs versus others. You’re going to get to February and have some clubs ten games behind others, and playing three games a week for three months just to try to finish on time.
Either stop the season as the number of cases continue to rise - which is not slowing down any time soon - or figure out what the exact rules on numbers are and get the games played.
They must field a side. Same thing happened at Tranmere a couple of weeks ago. Same thing happened with Crewe but we rightfully chose not to play as the postive player travelled on the day. Days notice means there’s no reason it can’t be played according to EFLWhat are the rules?
