fancy a 1-2 away win ...late smash n grab winner from Taylor, in a bad tempered match that also results in a U's player out for a while , injured

Excellent.

Gorrin’s 5th yellow and Brannagan’s 4th incoming

I personally wouldn’t start Taylor, he worked hard on Tuesday, so start Mackie up front and he can battle, wear the defenders down, and bring Taylor on for the last 20-30 mins

Moore has to play rather than Mousinho at CB

I’d start with Forde again, as has been mentioned if Woodburn or Henry had scored and assisted everyone would be going mental, but he seems to be oddly overlooked

Always enjoy our road trip to Brizzle. Not sure about the drive on a bank holiday weekend but we'll leave earlier and enjoy the delights of the fine dining arrangements at "Grounded Horfield" on the Gloucester Road. (That's if they can be bothered to actually cook at all!) Following which we can make our way into the ground in expectation of the wonderful selection of portable toilets arranged by the seats.
As to the footy, move Mous into defensive mid, start Mackie (annoy the s**t out of their defence) and start Fosu in place of Woodburn.
2 - 0 to the Yellows.

I’d start Mackie Saturday.

Eastwood
Cadden, Dickie, Moore, Ruffels
Gorrin (if fit), Brannagan
Forde, Woodburn, Fosu (if fit)
Mackie

Subs: Stevens, Taylor, Henry, Mous, Skyes, I mean Hall, Agyei & Baptiste (if fit)

If Gorrin isn’t fit I’d put Mous in there. If Fosu isn’t fit I’d put Woodburn on left and bring in Henry. If Baptiste isn’t fit I’d replace him on the bench with Long.

At this rate the game will have to be postponed and questions asked about our fitness coach.?

theres a question mark as to whether Gorrin will be fit enough to face Gas... ( hinted at in OM piece).... KR isnt 'concerned' about Gorrin's 4 bookings in 4 games, apparently.... have to say I am concerned, while taking into consideration the amount of 'look at me, look at me' referees who seem to aim to be controversial in matches they officiate, 4 matches into the season to have picked up a yellow card a game - (one more equates a suspension)- really is a matter for concern, especially given the number of injured, unfit etc players in the squad, IMO decent cover is very, very thin on the ground ... OM report .....

Tough one to call after Tuesday night.
But for best will in the world, I don’t think Rovers are a patch on Burton so, with that uplifting thought, I am hoping for us to give them the run around.
A cracking atmosphere is guaranteed and and a win would be nice. 1-2
To us... goals by our construction company... Taylor/Woodburn?

I know people think we should start with Taylor , but l think the crowd may get into his head ( They are buying blow up snakes ? to throw at him looking at their forum..lol ) So start with Mackie and let the game flow bit then put him on after 30 minutes or so. Keep it tight to then.. 2-2 for me with both goals Matty.

Could really do with a win here.
It's still early, but if we have ambitions to get into the top six this season (as we probably should after our summer), then we ideally don't want to be falling too far behind this early.
Plus, all indications are that Brizzle are no great shakes.

On the Gorrin issue - anyone know what the record is for bookings in a season?
Tried looking it up, but could only find the figure for the Premier League (15).
I think Corbo ended up with 9 yellows, having only played 13 matches (and it was epic). With a full season behind him, he might have had a run at any record...….

Or why we put a fit, energetic young player out in loan!!
A few of our fans dont seem to rate Sykes but others seem to have turned him into a Messi standard player!
I think that he could be good but am struggling to quite see the love in after some of the players we have brought in

Just brings energy, flair, pace and excitement into the team/squad.

Really thought this was a season for him to push on and fight for a regular spot whilst keeping others on their toes.

Thought he was one of the best players against Peterborough in the cup for 75mins, and is a good outlet giving players time to recover or creates a threat going forward, especially when we don’t have a great deal of pace/width in the team.

Not Messi from a long shot, but definitely good enough for League 1.

I know it might not be for ever, but not a good sign when a player who came in last season and managed to get game time, and prove the acquisition is then sent out on loan. Yes, coming back from injury, but not when he’s had a relatively good first season and is fit/young.
