A brief interlude from "house stuff" and an equally rare Saturday 3pm kick off................. journey down, awful. Standard of driving has dropped off a cliff, add in some rough weather and it was like Wacky Races on the M40.
Handy having residents visitor parking though...... quick trot to the ground, saw someone I`ve not seen for nearly 30 years and ended up in the *shudders* right side.
Game started well, that second goes in and who knows.......... after that the bromide in their tea kicked in and we got handed a life lesson.
8 goals, decent entertainment, seeing old friends and having a natter. Bliss.

Yep, we got found lacking but its a marathon not a sprint, January transfer window to shore things up we`ll be alright.

Journey home ........ abysmal.

Mrs EY(Mk2) got to play with the multi-fuel burner .... never knew they had to be "seasoned" like a wok.... 3 kindling only burns, then 40 hours of logs only before any solid fuel goes in. :)
The amount of undertaking I do in the left lane (yes it's perfectly legal) at 70mph on the M4, M5 and M25 is hilarious. I gave up going round them a few years ago and it makes my life so much easier.

Most of them probably don't have a licence or insurance anyway.

If you're watching Burnley v Middlesbrough this evening, Middlesbrough have had three great chances in the second half that have been put wide or have been hit straight at the keeper. Against us they would have hit the back of the net. Fine margins.

We need to get one of these smaller goals that Burnley have buy the sounds of it.

Their next match after us was at home to Blackburn - they lost 1-0. It was on Sky and Doak's runs apart, they were a shadow of team which played us. Cow's a**e and a banjo came to mind.

We obviously caught them on one of those days where every shot you take goes in, which is somewhat of a comfort for our next encounter with a "big" team...
