But the lack of energy and intensity from the beginning is partly on him. He has to prepare players and rotate if they don’t have the energy.
Easy to say in hindsight though. I think there’s an equally strong argument for keeping the same thing that worked very well on Saturday.

Totally agree. Changing manager won’t help. Another transfer window might. Hopefully we’ll still be in a position for that to help us come the new year.
Rowett has to get more out of the players he has first of all. Get them organised and motivated, that’s his job. Any new players should be the icing on the cake .

Rosie on RO reckons we will "batter" Sheffield Wednesday ! Er, where do you get your tablets from Rosie? Pigs might fly. We are relegation standard.
Will love to see Rosie and his reaction when we don't let's see what he blames it on then

If that was the case no club would ever replace a manager. Look at Sheffield United for instance and Wilder coming back in who are now on the same points as us!

Watched from home thankfully, kudos to the fans there, great effort.

Is Cam undroppable as captain? Disappointed with him more often than not this season. Love him but maybe a shot in the arm and a reminder he's not bulletproof?

Only Helik, Dembele (2nd half) and Cumming come away with any positives for me.

Onwards!

I’m very interested with what Rowett has to say. There was no creativity in the last 20 minutes. We bring on players who aren’t producing for ones who are? Dembele and Mills staying on (unless they had injury issues) were up with the pace of the game and would have surely got us a point.

Saturday is a massive game now, we don’t look like winning many so a game against a team who are bottom and in such a mess is a big chance to get another, and let’s be honest rare, away win.

Be to late another transfer window league 1 sadly 😥

Yes and for us it is guess work but Rowett works with the players every day, he knows them well, he is paid to make these calls and it’s right to scrutinise his decisions when it goes that wrong.

Any team who are having a poor run of form must relish playing us, it’s gone on for seasons

The subs just felt like it was throw some players on, f**k the formation, and cross your fingers something happens.

Yeap.

Shemmy works when you're under pressure - as an 'out ball', to get in behind.

When you're up against 10 men behind the ball, and you need composure to pick a pass or to cross with quality - absolutely f*cking not.

Rowett simply can't chase a game - his management is about hoping for something to happen and that very rarely does.

I often find myself saying “well, if we won every week, you wouldn’t appreciate the success”.
Well, do you know what - I’m fed up with “appreciating” the disappointment.

If we lose at Wednesday, I think we need a new Head Coach.

Are we still missing any key backroom staff?
For example analysts for both ourselves and the opposition or any other key performance or fitness type people?

We just didn’t seem prepared from the first whistle tonight and had no real plan A and certainly no plan B. The players looked leggy and we were 2nd to every ball by a yard or two. We had no energy and were just miles away from the performance we saw on Saturday, albeit Derby probably made us look better then we were.

Our performances are just so inconsistent, why????

We made our bed in August. We are now lying in it..

People saying change Rowett, a proven highly capable Chsmpionship Manager. For who?

It is a league 1 squad bar 2-3 individuals. It’s not tactics it’s players unable to trap, control or pass a ball in a straight line to another player on the same team. It’s a quality issue.

As bad today as we were good on Saturday. Consistency is a real issue. But that's where we are.

On to Saturday. Three points at Wednesday and it'd be 6 from 9, and a good week.

No point viewing results in isolation.

Would we get stats like this against Boro? I think Saturday will be very difficult.

I fear Wednesday's cobbled together squad may be better than the most expensive squad in our history.

Tonight was frustrating, Wrexham weren't brilliant but then they didn't have to be. Poor defending (whoever lost their man like that needs dropping) and as soon as we were a goal down at half time then writing was on the wall.

I'm really worried we haven't got enough quality to stay up now the first season momentum has gone.

Clutching at straws now, does an average championship side only have 2 shots and 10 touches in the oppositions box?

Not just hindsight - plenty of people on the match build up thread questioned the wisdom of sticking with the same line up.

Reasons being Wrexham wouldn't play the way Derby did and resting players.

Think Parkinson looked at what we did at the weekend and out thought Rowatt.

A terrible combination of no clear attacking plan and players that can’t be trusted, utterly clueless tonight, against 10men we still didn’t look like scoring…

Yes, sometimes. Well a poor one that stays up could, if that’s what he really means.
