Listening to Karl Robinson on the Radio now....yes, he is the right man for the job.
He’s 1000 times more interesting to listen to than Pep! Defo the sort of guy you want selling the club and pushing us forward. If he wasn’t a football manager he’d do well in Sales! To think if Tiger hadn’t have come along we’d be stuck with Craig Bellamy!

Dunno about huge risk. Ruffels is probably as good defensively, silva is always prone to a mistake or losing his man. He gives u a lot more going forward, but if we’re setting up like in the last few to make sure we don’t concede and he’s not in kr’s plans for next season then silly to trigger a contract we would have to pay off if we don’t need to

Ruffels at times has been a liability defensively when played left back. Understandably, his positional sense is poor, and he actually got caught out two or theee times today.

Whenever Ricardinho has played this season we’ve looked a better team than when he doesn’t. So yes, to me, that’s a huge risk.

Well it worked. Kr is talking about a much smaller squad next season, so doubt we will have more than 2 per position, with youth and loans making up the rest, as well as some utility players like ruffels and Carroll. If Ricardinho is on decent money, with his age as well, then kr is probably hot it spot on. It’s not like we won’t be able to replace him with better, bury’s lb for example. He been ok this season , and the best of pep’s signings but that doesn’t say a lot, and I think we should be looking at better
And it probably depends what kind of extension the contract triggers..like another 2 years!! Ha ha

Superb performance. Let’s sign Marquis, real threat all game.
The rebuild can start now.
Not mathematically safe....but can’t see us slipping up now.
Gillingham could be the fall guys

i mentioned earlier to some (OUFC) friends whilst watching the game on ifollow, Marquis looks a quality player but god does he moan (and moan and moan), maybe thats his competitiveness, (the ref wasn't great) and he still only 25, best years to come you would think and i believe his 2 year deal at Donny is up in June.

I was on the fence before about PoTS (between Henry and Ledson) but now it’s definitely Henry. Recent Goals against Scunny, Posh, Southend and Donny today has effectively won us 7 points and now pushing to be top scorer! He’s really stepped up when it matters for me. Ledson close 2nd though.

Would be a great used car salesman

Surely Eastwood also strengthened his case today? Two incredible saves, one of which was easily Premier League quality.

He definitely did strengthen it but he’s had plenty of games where he’s been very suspect and it’s cost us. Particularly mid season.

Hasn’t always been as impressive as he was last season, but on the whole I’d say he’s been our most consistent player, and has saved us on countless occasions. He’s my poty for sure.

We’ve not had a proper moany-bastard centre-forward since Beano left ?

Watched the game on ifollow. Absolute battling performance which we should all be proud of. For me Ledson was MOTM. He was unreal chasing absolutely everything. Dickie looks so good aswell.
I'm really really looking forward to next season. If we build our team around Eastwood, Nelson, Dickie, Lego, Brannagan, Henry and Rothwell. Add a few pacey wingers and decent strikers we could have a real go next year.

Hopefully good times ahead

Try and get Todd Kane as well

Ledson is off to Preston

Ledson is off to Preston

Even if we should be playoff contenders next season, I can't see us getting Lego on a new contract. Sell in the summer. Hopefully Rothwell and Nelson on new contracts though.

Wingers and full backs the priority in terms of shopping. Then we can see how Robinson actually wants to set out a team when survival isn't the priority.

He may well stay now. If the unthinkable had happened I’m certain he’d be having talks with Preston pretty soon.
There still needs to be a clear out of players. Dickie and Rothwell should be top of the list to be retained, along with Eastwood. Still not too sure about Obika as we need two new strikers. James Henry is improving with each game and is a good provider of goals so has to be kept at all costs

So for us to go down Rochdale, Oldham or Walsall need to win two of their last three if we fail to pick up another point..

Has anyone ever gone down with 53 points??

No, for us to go down Rochdale, Oldham AND Walsall need to win two of their last three if we fail to pick up another point..

A subtle but smile-inducing difference!

Not forgetting that Gillingham would need at least one point, possibly two, from their remaining two games, and Wimbledon would need four points from their last three games, unless goal difference switches around a lot.

Eastwood - 9. Incredible. At least 3 worldie saves.

Kane - 7. Ok defensively + looked to get forward.
Dickie - 8. Imperious, did especially well considering the early booking.
Mous - 6. Definite weak link. Shaky and didn't look convincing in midfield. Some good moments.
Ruffels - 7. Solid, can't think of any mistakes.

Brannagan - 6. Pretty anonymous, seems wasted where he is.
Mowatt - 5. Totally anonymous, slow and scared to take risks.
Ledson - 8. So energetic, always looking for a pass. Great assist and never stopped pressing.
Rothwell - 6. Didn't really stand out.

Thomas - 5. For someone who had been rested, looked as lethargic as usual.
Obika - 5. Obviously told to be a target man and win the headers, but can't jump.

Henry - 7. Cracking finish, looked lively.
Nelson - 7. Looked good again, especially aerially.
Hall - 6. Didn't have time to make an impact but looked quick.

KR - 8. Wasn't sure about his starting XI but he knows best. Brilliant subs, Henry to obviously win but Nelson was vital for defending the long balls they started to put in. Missed his post match comments but seen a bit about them, can anyone summarise?
