To derail the thread I’ve always taken my boys in the east stand the family stand has never appealed to me , my dad took me in the London road and then the east stand

Anyway 3-1 Bradshaw Harris vaulks

I'd settle for a draw on this one, seems too much to ask for to get another win, think it's crucial we don't lose against them though.

Hoping for some better results elsewhere too, Saturday it felt like everyone around us got a result.

Win this game, we're 9 points clear of Luton, 14 clear of Plymouth, with 18 left to play.
I was saying this over the weekend. League position is not as important as the points gap between us and the worse three teams in the league.

Win tomorrow and we are on 1.25 ppg (and 2.4 ppg under Rowett!) Maintain that and Luton would need to get 1.75 ppg for the rest of the season (better than Blackburn have performed) and Plymouth would need to perform better than Leeds have.

With Portsmouth inconsistency, Derby in free fall and Cardiff and Hull pulling up no trees then we should start to feel a lot safer in the next few weeks.

That wasn't your suggestion though was it, it was that if they want cheaper seats, they should be stuck back in the corner in the shittest seats.

Anyway, we'll agree to disagree I think.
My suggestion was that the cheapest seats should be the least attractive seats (the use of emotional language such as shittest doesn't really make any difference) and that if people want to take their kids elsewhere then they have the choice.

You're the one who has chosen to take this personal, with your comments about my work on the stadium. Perhaps you should sit in the children's area?

Last post from me on it, as it's supposed to be the match thread and I only posted to help out a poster who wasn't sure where the Family Area used to be.

Seriously?

Luton have no wins in five, are 23rd in the table, are going to be missing at least a couple of their best players, and were pretty awful when we played them at their place (we really should have won that game except we sleepwalked out the gate, and then our finishing let us down in the second half)

This game is a massive opportunity for us. Win this one, and we're certainly not safe - but we're in an awesome position, and would need a colossal collapse to go down.

If Dembele (and everyone else) is fit, keep it simple - same XI again please, and let's fly out the traps and hammer in a nail......

I agree with everything you've said :ROFLMAO:

I can't think of a Tuesday night home match against Luton without thinking of that game in our conference promotion season.

The famous 'high to low in 45 seconds':

And then about 10 minutes later, Jamie Cook repaying the 12th man fund with a goal you rarely saw in the 5th tier.

Then all topped off with a fantastic late challenge and Matt Green rolling a few too many times.

Weird that the bookies have Luton as favourites 6/4 with Paddy Power, ourselves 15/8, would be tempted by that but if I ever back us to win we lose.
You can get over 2/1 on us which is mental to me. We're the form team in the league, have won 3 in a row at home under Rowett and they've lost their last 10 away games on the spin, they only have 4 away points all season.

Nothing is a given but we absolutely have to be targeting maximum points here and I think we'll get them.

But you can take a child anywhere you want in the stadium, you just have to pay a little more, if that's what you choose to do. The Family Area IS the cheapest area though (and the kids pricing there is crazy cheap), so if it happens to be the worst seats that seems entirely reasonable to me, and is the way the vast majority of pricing at football grounds works.

I sit in the family stand with my 10-year-old not because the seats are cheapest, but because I don’t want to fall out with my missus about the new words he’s learned each week, or explain to him what some of them mean!

Having sat with him in the non-family NS seats once or twice, the difference in language and ‘boisterousness’ is marked.

That said, he will sing as loud as most in the FS and, we has come up some censored versions of some of the sweary songs; for example, Brannagan said ‘no to that’.

I also think it’s important that youngsters can actually see as much of what’s going on as possible - I think it’s more likely to get them hooked if they don’t need binoculars to see one end, at least until he wants to get there three hours early for beers with his mates and then struggles to see the end closest to him without one eye closed…!

If Luton play Fanne, there'll be a massive hole in their midfield for us to take advantage of.

Win this game, we're 9 points clear of Luton, 14 clear of Plymouth, with 18 left to play. Obviously a long way to go (over a third of the season) but it starts looking very healthy for us at that point. We keep getting results by scoring bangers. Our xG (expected goals) is the second worst in the league, and our xGA (expected goals against) is the third worst.

Thank you Jamie Cumming.

I'm very hopeful of a more "normal" win with plenty of good chances created. We cannot lose tomorrow. A point is not a disaster, but we should definitely be aiming for 3.

Hipster woke nonsense!

I don't want to carp on about it - but here is yet another 'I'll take a draw at home' merchant. I give up!

3pts at home has got to be every supporters first positive thought when clicking through the turnstiles tomorrow evening and ongoing in every home match going forward till we've amassed the 18 pts needed.

We will need the majority of these points from our home games, and probably, from the so called lesser teams and I'm sorry to burst your 1pt from our home games bubble but 'teamslike', 'Lu'on, QPR, Pompey, Coventry are exactly the 12 pts we would need to be going for and not to dribble along at 1pt at a time ffs.

GR obviously knows what's required, and the way he has set the side up atm is in all honesty to get the points in the bag sooner rather than later especially with some of the big guns on the horizon visiting the k*ssam in the next few months.

He also knows a few points poached on the road are needed, starting this Saturday at Stoko (a probable targeted match) before hitting the big guns away in the likes of Burnley, Middlesbrough, West Brom, Swansea and Norwich where a occasional point would be considered a Brucie Rowett bonus.

The 1pt home rule should only be applicable when we are losing with a few minutes to go.

My god, I had to check I hadn't written this myself! 😆

Only difference is ours goes "...but Cameron said no thanks". 🤣

Quick seat update at 9.30pm on Monday and there are currently 457 home seats available.

East Stand sold out, 43 left in North Stand, 119 in South Upper and 295 in South Lower.

Luton have sold out so another 11,000+ crowd but likely to fall a couple hundred short of a complete sell out.

Sorry if already asked but is the ticket exchange open for this match?

Just seen the post above. That's a no then.
