The question is, do we sell more than 7500 if there are customers, sorry meant that many fans who want to buy a season ticket e.g. 8500/9000 etc?
I would think not.The question is, do we sell more than 7500 if there are customers, sorry meant that many fans who want to buy a season ticket e.g. 8500/9000 etc?

Yes - cash in the bank is better than empty seats.
8k ST holders leaves roughly 2k spare seats for "on the event sales"
That will be entirely dependent on how we start the season....which there would likely be far less demand for in League One.

You'd expect that given that they have a chance to go to the premier league. Was talking to a Millwall fan before the game on Saturday, and he said that they’d already sold out their season tickets for next season!! And this is before they know what league they’re going to be in!!
We averaged over 9,000 when we went up 3 years ago with STs of under 5,000.I don't accept the idea that there should be huge attrition of season ticket holders. I recognise that league one is less attractive, but the club now has a situation it should relish eg there is a large core of season tickets and a job to do to retain them. They have waiting list info too apparently.
They should be aiming to retain a similar number in league one. There may be some churn in who season tickets holders are, but the club has to back itself to do a good job on the retention side.
It is then on the club to actually market and sell for individual matches now there should be greater availability. That's a different sort of challenge, and something they have largely not had to do or neglected to do over the last two years.
With reasonable results, we should be looking to average 9-10k in the first half of the season.
Time for decades of experience to step up.
I wonder how many returns they're likely to get if they blow it in the playoffs? You'd expect that given that they have a chance to go to the premier league.
As for us, I expect us to maybe drop slightly in ST holders by maybe 500ish.
Yep. That is the key point. From last years experience get yourself on the waiting list as early as possible. When does the opportunity to go on the waiting list materialise?

I think a few will go on the market but not many and demand will outstrip supply. Next season has the potential to be a classic. It happened in the last 2 seasons.
The club sold 7,500 maximum so anybody applying after they were sold out were put on a waiting list.
Some seem very optimistic, but I reckon that we wont hit 7,500 this season and so everybody who wants one should be able to get hold of one ( would love to be proved wrong)
Cheers Eric that’s the planYep. That is the key point. From last years experience get yourself on the waiting list as early as possible.
Cheers I hope to get one though tbh I never struggled to get a ticket home or away this season with membershipIt happened in the last 2 seasons.

Wasn’t the fact they they’d sold out, more to the fact that they have sold them already and not knowing what league they’ll be in e.g. if they’re in the Premiership then they might have been to increase the cost etcYou'd expect that given that they have a chance to go to the premier league.

All depends how bad the club need the cash injection. Also if they got promoted then adding £100 to a season ticket isn't really going to make much difference when you get around £200m for going up these days. Where as making sure all ST's are sold going into another season in the Championship can make a difference.Wasn’t the fact they they’d sold out, more to the fact that they have sold them already and not knowing what league they’ll be in e.g. if they’re in the Premiership then they might have been to increase the cost etc
Probably half of those are Exeter fans after they got relegatedSeen Plymouth have already had 11,000 renewals
6th June 2024. Can't trace last year datesWe should have less funky kick off times in league one also. I know two families who between them have 7 season tickets who struggle with non 3pm kick off times due to kids football.
More 3pm kickoffs should mean more bums in season ticket seats and also hopefully more people buying tickets from general release. The club just need to push these and make them affordable.
These will be easier to sell if we are playing well every week!
Last year one of the fan groups (OxVox maybe?) confirmed they had discussed prices etc with the club prior to their release. Has that happened this year? And does anyone have an inkling on when they might open for renewals!? I cant seem to find any comms from last year to confirm dates.
6th June in 2024. Can't find for last year
