It's a shame neither Luton nor Plymouth could sneak into the play-offs, as they looked like two of the strongest teams in terms of form and the strongest squads on paper. Remains to be seen how many of their better players leave in the summer for Championship football, but they'll be contenders next season. Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester will need big rebuilds so could take a while to get going, so a good start could be imperative. These four are the sides I'd be most wary of next season
I’d be wary of any of the teams that have made the playoffs too. Three of those won’t be going up and all seem to be on an upward trajectory in recent seasons.
Maybe Stevenage and Stockport you’d start to expect some drop off but Bradford with Graham Alexander at the helm and Bolton, who still smart at being this low in the pyramid, should be competitive.
