By my reckoning, the last time we played a league game against Leeds was 1990! They’re the only team, I think, we’ll face next year that we’ve never played a league game against since I started watching in ‘93!

Mind you, it’s 1988 for Southampton……

South 4-0 North at Wembley this year (yeah, I’m counting Solihull as North)

When was the last time we played Fulham in a league game. That must be the same length of time if not a bit more.

Yeah had to be along way back. We seemed to be on the decline, and Al Fayed was pushing them upwards. So we missed eachother.

August 1989 in the League Cup. We beat them 1-0 away (Foyle) but they beat us 5-3 (Durnin, Simpson 2) at home in the 2nd leg.

We last played them in the League in 1984/5. Winning 3-2 (Aldridge 2, Hamilton 1) at home in Sept '84 and lost 1-0 away in Feb '85.

We also played them away in the Full Members Cup in Oct '85 when we beat them 2-0 with Andy Thomas scoring both.

I think they were the team that ended our really long home unbeaten record in the League Cup, a run which had survived games against Man Utd (twice), Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle United, Leeds, amongst others.

Elland Road a new ground for me. Unreal that we'll be playing there in a league game and not as a novelty one-off in a cup. Very much hope it's a Saturday early on in the year, before too much pressure gets heaped on anything and we can still enjoy the day out. Would be a real shame if it was a Tuesday.

That 5-3 reverse at the Manor to Fulham. They scored in added rime
I remember the first leg. Their ground was horrible. Grass growing on all the terraces out of the concrete
Thought at 1-0 to us the second leg was a formality

You should have gone to the cup game in midweek, when Jim Magilton scored the winner in extra time. What a great night that was.

Jimmy Magilton's last game for Oxford, we sold him 2 days later. What a way to come back to earth with a bump... And then we lost 4-0 at home to Charlton on the Saturday just to really rub it in.

When half the Leeds fans cleared off and all ran back in when they equalised in injury time :)

The stewards getting in all our faces celebrating when they equalised.

I remember one bloke windmilling a steward with Coppers hanging on to each arm. The Police moved them elsewhere after a lot of complaints, unfortunately though, as it would have been joyful to celebrate that goal in their faces in return.

A mate who supported Leeds had left just before the 1st goal, he ignored it but then ran back in after hearing the equaliser.
