Am I right in thinking that if it’s carabao u16s can’t have that on their shirts

Or any energy drink . Alcohol, gambling
Yes, Leeds don't have Red Bull logos on their kids replica kits, and the various prem clubs with gambling sponsors either don't have them on kids kits, or in the case of Brentford have a different sponsor on the kids replicas.

It's strange how it used to be that we didn't like a sponsor on a shirt, now it seems many don't want to buy a shirt without one.
Yes having been brought up with no sponsors on shirts many hated it fir the first couple of years with a sponsor on it.
Strange how now some prefer the shirt with a sponsor on it.

I remember buying the shirt for the 85/86 season in the club shop on the corner of Osler Road and having the choice of buying it with Wang across the tits or plain. Naturally I chose it without the sponsor (think it was five quid cheaper too, although I might be making that bit up)

prob not a fiver, but it was def a cheaper option in early years.

It's okay, I like the shade of yellow, and the pattern is subtle. I think a bit of blue trim on the collar and sleeves would make it look better.

Does looks a bit like a training top due to the lack of a sponsor, but having said that I don't think it would look any better with BG or the Carabao logo printed on the front.

Hoping the away shirts are a bit more interesting.

It’s actually ageing badly with me now having looked at it 4 or 5 times. I see how it could be considered a training top but the lack of sponsor is arguably the main reason for that.

But… main reason for post is for the enormity of the anti climax. One of the last clubs to shoot their shot with the kits and out dribbles a tame, pathetic, cheap looking campaign as if we wanted to soft launch it through feelings of embarrassment. No pride, no ‘pow’ about it despite being the most exciting season presenting the most opportunity in decades.

Added to that, having waited this long, I’d have expected a lot more. There’s a lack of detail and originality and looks as though it’s a template off the shelf cobbled together at the last minute as it could be produced and delivered at speed, given its simplicity.

It’s not as bad as it could have been but also nowhere close to being as good and the limp-dick launch of it was especially crap. Doubt too many will flock to buy it.
